The Hotel was in a good location for the purpose of my visit to Halifax. The room was rather small, although it was very clean and comfortable and the bathroom contained a good shower. Breakfast was good with plenty to chose from. The overnight Car Parking rate at £5.00 per night was good, it was situated about 2 minutes from the Hotel. The staff were very pleasant.

Beautiful are of West Yorkshire lots of character and charm. The Piece Hall is a spectacular piece of history and Architecture which, is being preserved by the trustees imaginative use of the grand space. Shopping, eateries, bars, seasonal events and entertainment. And, now it’s hosting some big name bands and doing really well. Lots of little market towns (Think - last of the summer wine) & historically rich in and around Halifax Town. Lots to do for entertainment if you visit

Supposed to be secured front door only access was a code provided but on arrival doors were open. On message to property they said they will get engineer out as no body as told them. That was not true as we met another guy staying at property and said he had told them several times.
Floor boards up in room letting in slugs and again told them and they said sorry and thanks for letting them know as first time this as happened, again not true as read other reviews.

Halifax has a wide range of shops, pubs and fun things to do. Everything is fairly close together and there's plenty of places to park your car. There's a great choice of places to eat from the big names such as McDonalds, Burger King, KFC as well as some more independent eateries, including a Greek restaurant. Halifax town centre also has a cinema, mini golf, the famous Piece Hall which often has live music, markets and more.

The Piece Hall was great to tour round with lots of individual shops and places to eat & drink.
The Minster is interesting & worth viewing and there is a reasonable shopping centre.
At the moment there are lots of road works which for an outsider quite difficult to negotiate.

there is plenty to do and see in Halifax from the Peace Hall to Urika and that is only a few mins walk from the town.
If you wish for lively night then I sugest the town centre on a friday or saturday and you can fill ya boots with booze. but if you prefer a quiet time then take a walk and there is plenty of them to discover
I first learned if the Inn thru booking.com in 2019. I have stayed there seven times since. it is every bit as charming and comfortable as the pictures, but what makes the real difference is the staff. Without exception, I’ve been treated like a special guest every time I walk in the door, regardless of who I deal with. Oh, and the restaurant is not only the best in the area, but one of the best I’ve eaten in, anywhere, and I travel all over the world. Breakfast alone is terrific, but dinners are over the moon!
We came to 1885 the Venue because we were going to a wedding nearby and I can honestly say that everything exceeded our expectations! The staff were incredible and helped us out with anything from booking taxis to finding safety pins!
Breakfast was exceptional and the menu was highly varied.
Parking was easy and the car park large.
We will definitely be recommending this hotel to anyone visiting the area!
Staff were welcoming and extremely helpful. The room was elegant and comfortable with a nice view over trees to distant hills. Lots of car parking space. Breakfast was not included but it was good value and delicious. The hotel is in a nice old building with a lively bar two floors below the rooms. No problem with noise. Excellent value for money.
.anything , i couldn't entry . they said i didn't show . i was there , i called them , then they didn't take my calls or answer messages . they didn't tell me the house number . i had to sleep in one of my friends places . i've got probes and wittinesses. i lived three years in halifax. i know the town and i lived in the same street
Excellent breakfast and evening meal, beautiful location, clean/comfortable rooms. The staff went way beyond my expectations when my car was damaged. Ian organized my windscreen to be covered, took delivery of my hire car and removal of my damaged car. All the staff are a credit to the hotel.
The building itself was beautiful and our room was everything i wanted . We had a four poster in the old house. The bed be was comfortable. We had a 2 night stay booked, so had breakfast and dinner over the 2 nights. We managed to do lots of sight seeing due to the location of the hotel.
We enjoyed our whole stay, from start to finish. The attention to detail was second to none. The food was stunning, the best meal we have had in a long time. The breakfast was delicious. Our room was clean and comfortable and very in keeping with the theme of the hotel.
Great location - few minutes walk from The Piece Hall and centre of Halifax.
Staff were very friendly.
The hotel’s facilities and presentation were reflected in the very reasonable price.
Bed was clean and comfortable.
Breakfast was decent.
Great pub atmosphere, food very good, in a tranquil area surrounded by country side but only 4 miles from the centre of Halifax. Caters for people with food as allergies and accepts dogs. Staff very friendly.
Breakfast was fine, staff were very friendly and welcoming, my room was very comfortable, clean and pleasantly furnished. The hotel was also very close to my workplace and centrally located in Halifax.
Was visiting Hebden Bridge for a concert and all accommodation in town was fully booked. New Hobbit Hotel rooms was an ideal alternative, just a short taxi ride away. Will definitely consider again.
I booked the hotel and emailed to service.if I.could delay.for five days later due.to family member being in a and e.- never answered and just.took my.money.
