Welcome to our stylish, private town house - with free, private off-road parking. A flat 15 to 20-minute walk from York’s historic city walls, The Corner House is a great option for discovering the sights, including the world-famous Minster and Shambles. Included are a fridge-freezer, oven, gas hob, microwave, kettle, toaster and washing machine; king size bed; and top floor private dressing room with make-up table, hairdryer, iron and storage space. Private parking space is at the property.
Hi, we are Chris and Gosia. Keen travellers and passionate hosts in the beautiful, historic city of York.
The Corner House is located in Clifton - on the doorstep are small supermarkets; independent shops; a cafe; and several takeaways. Supermarkets: Heron Foods is just across the road on Cromer Street Sainsbury's is a short walk on Burton Stone Lane high street Takeaways: There are plenty of affordable takeaways along and just off Burton Stone Lane. Our favourite is Harpos Pizza and comes highly recommended. Cross over Burton Stone Lane and head along Falsgrave Crescent - Harpos is on your left. Cafe: Mrs Greedy's serves affordable, no frills food, including English breakfasts. Independent shops: There is a butcher on Burton Stone Lane (DG Chapman), beauty salons and an excellent gift shop (The Giftery and The Shop Of Small Changes), which has plenty of gift ideas associated with York and the region. TIER e-scooters are available for hire nearby, including from York Hospital - check the TIER app for specific locations. Buses are frequent and available from several locations in and round Clifton.
