Loved the room, upgrade to the hot tub rooms if you can. We requested a coffee machine on arrival and it was there, really clean and comfy room. We would 100% go back !! Great check in and staff super friendly.

The staff are really friendly and helpful. The room was super with plenty of space and a lovely comfy bed. We even had a view of the Minster. Marvellous. Oh and the toiletries were top-notch too. Breakfast was a feast which kept us going for hours!

I loved the location, my room with a view and the restaurant. I stayed only for one night and I didn't want to leave. The portions in the restaurant were huge and delicious. Everything I planned to visit was in a walking distance (and I'm talking about max 10 minutes away)

Location is 5 star and a very short walk to the centre of the old town with the old town wall direction opposite the hotel. The room was spacious and well equipped with very comfortable beds. The buffet breakfast had everything you would want. Staff were really friendly and helpful. I would definately choose to stay again.

We like everything about the property and the staff were amazingly nice and always available for us. We stayed for our wedding night and it was perfect, very close to the center and near our Venue as well.

Some items and facilities were available for breakfast, although we brought in pastries and cereal. Staff was very helpful.

The gentleman who greeted us was very friendly and helpful! He held our bags before checking in and also after we checked out till our train was due

Exceptional location and super friendly staff

The room was adorable. We looked out onto the church and it was quiet. We did not eat at the hotel as both mornings we had to be on the road quite early. The staff was great.

Lovely place , great location so near everything Staff were so helpful and the breakfast was amazing, just be aware the stairs are steep but it is an old building

Staff were so lovely to me and my son . Sam welcomed us as we arrived early and looked after our bags. Later Ben showed us our amazing room. The room was so comfortable , spacious. Nice touches too like the fresh milk for coffee in the morning. A sleeep spray which my son thought was a magic spray the helped him sleep! Jackelyn found my charger for me and emailed me to let me know so I picked it up as we were leaving York. We had breakfast early and didn’t get tje waitresses name but she organised a take away box so we could bring some food with us. Ambience of the hotel is gorgeous. Beside the beautiful museum gardens. 7 minute walk from train station. 5 minute walk to Shambles Minster 4 minute walk. . But really everywhere around hotel is fabulous. We ended ip doing some shopping and it was so easy to just pop back to hotel and drop our things instead of feeling laden doen . We will return . Thank you to all the staff that we met and of course we didn’t meet who made our whirlwind stay so lovely.

We loved everything about the property. It was the best stay we’ve had, the location, the staff were amazing and so attentive and kind. The food was exceptional and we will definitely be back. I can honestly say it was one of the best places we’ve stayed and would highly recommend to our friends.

The location is fantastic, a few minutes walk from the station. The rooms are modern and comfortable. Great that Taylors sachets of tea and coffee are left in the room - a nicd touch.
