The gentleman who greeted us was very friendly and helpful! He held our bags before checking in and also after we checked out till our train was due

The place was immaculate!!! Our room was so spacious. We had fluffy blankets to keep us cosy and warm; a fabulous tea tray with everything including delicious biscuits, proper tea and hot chocolate; lovely extras in the bathroom, a hairdryer and neat ironing board. Our breakfast was perfect! We will definitely be back and could not fault a thing. The cleanliness and quality of everything was beyond our expectations. The staff were so nice and worked hard. The location was right in the centre of York.

Beautiful property and excellent location

The hotel is very well located, on the waterfront and in the old town of York. The staff was very responsive to my questions by message. The establishment offers hotel guests a discount on meals taken in the restaurant.

Everything have not got bad word

Great location, you can walk all over the city centre from the hotel, although the actual hotel area is quiet. Very good shower, useful to have parking so centrally and the breakfast exceeded expectations - a generous continental buffet with fruit, pastry and cheeses on top of the normal full English. The room itself was a bit dated but comfortable enough and clean. We would stay there again.

The staff were friendly and welcoming & we were very happy with the room. The room was a good size and the hotel is in a great location. Mum & I were also happy with the variety of choice for breakfast and dinner.

A historic hotel that hosts amazing, spacious, and luxurious rooms. As a bonus, we managed to park our car on the site, though at an extra charge. But the history of this hotel and its decorations are phenomenal.

Just perfect. Very central, staff very friendly, nice fry up in the morning. room was small but that didn't bother me as it was clean and cosy.
