A characterful barn conversion, complete with a hot tub and log burner, set in a quiet Somerset hamlet. It’s perfect for a romantic getaway, country walks and gentle bike rides

The neighbourhood The cottage is located on the A372 in the hamlet of Pibsbury, between the villages of Long Sutton and Huish Episcopi. There is a farm shop in Long Sutton, local shops stocked with essentials in Somerton and Langport, while the nearest supermarket is also in Langport. The nearest pub is in Huish Episcopi, under 1 mile away, and it serves food and real ale, while there are some good restaurants a short drive away in Long Sutton, Somerton and Barrington. The cottage is set within Windmill Farm which is in the middle of 10 acres of fields and paddocks that you are welcome to explore. One of the fields is free of sheep and chickens, so if you have a dog with you, you can let them off their lead here for a play. There are plenty of public footpaths close to the cottage and cycling routes in the area to help you enjoy the Somerset countryside. The local town of Langport, about 1.5 miles away, is a great place to combine exploring with refreshments in one of the lovely coffee shops. Try a walk along the River Parret Trail or a bike ride to some of the pretty villages of the Somerset Levels. The Somerset Levels is a great place for birdwatching too and...
