The main beaches of the island are in a small distance and you can go to Askeli (1.5km), Love Bay (3km) or the Russian Beach (4km) by car, scooter, taxi or bus and even by bike or if you feel so on foot. Poros is easily accessible by ferries and speed liners departing from the harbor of Pireus as well as equally easily reached by car driving from Athens to the opposite coast of Galatas.
