Marika's Penthouse (& Guesthouse) have been designed for complete relaxation and rest. There are 2 spacious and fully equipped apartments. The Superior apartment is on the 1st floor and the Penthouse is on the 2nd floor. We are situated just 5 minutes walk to Nea Chora beach and promenade. Both apartments have a fresh, clean and airy sea theme creating a calming and relaxed atmosphere. The apartments are very spacious and comfortable enabling our guests to relax and enjoy their stay. Each apartment is fully equipped to function as a home away from home. The Superior apartment lounge has a large sofa bed and a laptop working area with a desk and WiFi. The dining area has large patio doors which open onto the veranda. The kitchen is fully fitted and equipped with dishwasher. All bedrooms have extra length beds, comfortable mattresses, pillows and Percale linen. The Superior apartment bathroom has a special feature with both a separate shower and a bath for relaxation. The Penthouse has an extra large veranda with a seating area as well as a dining area. We are child and baby friendly supplying a crib, high chair, some baby items and a few toys on request. There are also beach towels for use and a first aid kit. The Supermarket and all amenities are just around the corner and we will be happy to assist you any way possible.

We are both passionate about Crete and love sharing our experiences with you and making our guests feel welcome. We are a South African Greek family with 3 beautiful grandchildren. We have vast experience in the hospitality industry and Nick will enjoy to introduce you to 'his' island and share in his passion for its food and its people.

Marikas is situated in Nea Chora a suburb of Chania. Nea Chora beautiful beach and promendade is within 5 minutes walking distance and 15 minutes to the Old Venetian Harbour and city centre. The apartments are close to all amenities, supermarkets, ATM's, Post office, green grocers, bakeries and pharmacies. Nea Chora beach has beach chairs and umbrellas for hire as well as some water sports on offer and paddle boats for hire. Many seaside taverns, wonderful restaurants and coffee shops line the beach promenade. Further along is the small boat harbour of Nea Chora and a children's park. A 15 minute walk takes you to the Old Venetian Harbour with its many historical sites and restaurants with a vibrant atmosphere. The main town of Chania has all modern shops and facilities.
