Last minute booking coming off the beach to save us a trip back to Malia. Lovely hotel. Bed was comfortable and shower was hot. Breakfast was enjoyable and crossed the road to eat it on the seafront. Would recommend for a short stay. Would book again if in the area.

Plakias in June is the right place to spend active holiday both in misty mountain gorges and beautiful sunny beaches. Nobody will get bored here if he doesn’t expect mass attractions but active holiday. However it is very useful to rent a car.AAnonymous - Scored 6.06.0
Plakias is a nice location.
Plakias is a nice location. Plenty of choice for bars and restaurants. Worth walking the side streets as some hidden gems to eat in. Very windy. Taxi from Kassiani cost €6/7 one way. The jewel in the crown is the most southerly lending library in Europe, most European languages held. Of course Plakias has a nice beach, good walking around; but it has been overdeveloped these last 30y, and looks set to continue.

Take a side trip to visit Kourtaliotiko Gorge.
Take a side trip to visit Kourtaliotiko Gorge. There is a trail in the gorge, but we didn't have time for that. So we stopped along the road above and followed the path passed the Church of Saint Nicholas down to a beautiful view of the waterfall.ArthurUnited States - Scored 8.08.0

Quiet place in November, but sea temperature was super nice. Supermarkets are open, as well as some restaurants. There was a lot of construction going on. Many tavernas close to attractions are closed, so take plenty of snacks.DorisNetherlands

The pool is nice like on the pictures, but not very deep, so it s more for relaxing than swimming, but the sea is really wonderful at Plakias and the surrounding beaches. If you have breakfast you have to go to the hotel, about 10 minutes to walk or you go by car, if you don t want to walk. Breakfast was really tasty. I can recommend this accomodation; if you have a car it s perfect to come around everywhere.

It’s much larger than other apartments or studios that I stayed in around Crete for the same or more money. I stayed in apartment 4 which has a huge outdoor patio to relax, eat and also very private for sunbathing etc. The apartment has a full kitchen. It was also cleaned everyday! The location was perfect in Plakias. The hosts were very friendly and hospitality. Highly recommend.

It is sufficiently apart from the central venue of Plakias, but you can still reach it through a comfortable walk. Breakfast is excellent and there are lots of different and very interesting things to try. "Garden view" isn't that great and the pool isn't in the Sofia hotel, but in the other one, which is near. However, who needs pool, when you have such a beautiful sea and wonderfull beaches nearby :)
