George is a fully equipped, luxurious one bedroom apartment, on the first floor of an apartment building in Kaloi Limenes. It suitably accommodates up to three persons. In the main area, there is a fully equipped open planned kitchen with charming and relaxing dining and sitting area which leads to a sizeable balcony that overlooks the golden sandy beach. The remaining area, entails a spacious bedroom with a double bed and modern bathroom with shower facility. The muted colors add to the light, airy and relaxed atmosphere. Angela is a breath away from the sandy, crystal-clear water main beach and a few minutes’ walk from the surrounding beaches. The serenity of the environment, the dry and healthy climate of the area as well as the local food specialties guarantee an unforgettable stay.
Kaloi Limenes (meaning "Good Harbors", "Fair Havens") is a natural port near the southernmost point of Crete. It is close to the village of Lentas (ancient Levin), and the unexcavated remains of Lassea, a port for the ancient settlement of Gortys. Local legend as well as biblical scholars assert that Apostle Paul, in whose name a small church was built there (first in Byzantine times, then restored in the 1960s), landed at Kaloi Limenes to preach the Christian faith in Crete. Other scholars claim that the commercial ship carrying Paul from Caesaria to Rome, as a prisoner of the Romans,[7] turned to the south of Crete to better sail under north-western winds and eventually had to take temporary refuge "at Fair Havens ... for a change in the wind." This peaceful location can become your springboard for exploring the historical sites and places of unique beauty in the area. You can choose between staying in and relaxing , hopping off on a a drive to the world famous archaeological site of Phaistos, or enjoying the wonderful golden-sand beaches of Psili Ammos, Makria Ammo, Crisostomos, Stena ,Komos, Matala and Kalamaki.
