Last minute booking coming off the beach to save us a trip back to Malia. Lovely hotel. Bed was comfortable and shower was hot. Breakfast was enjoyable and crossed the road to eat it on the seafront. Would recommend for a short stay. Would book again if in the area.Paul - Scored 1010

Plakias in June is the right place to spend active holiday both in misty mountain gorges and beautiful sunny beaches. Nobody will get bored here if he doesn’t expect mass attractions but active holiday. However it is very useful to rent a car.AAnonymous - Scored 6.06.0
Plakias is a nice location.
Plakias is a nice location. Plenty of choice for bars and restaurants. Worth walking the side streets as some hidden gems to eat in. Very windy. Taxi from Kassiani cost €6/7 one way. The jewel in the crown is the most southerly lending library in Europe, most European languages held. Of course Plakias has a nice beach, good walking around; but it has been overdeveloped these last 30y, and looks set to continue.

Take a side trip to visit Kourtaliotiko Gorge.
Take a side trip to visit Kourtaliotiko Gorge. There is a trail in the gorge, but we didn't have time for that. So we stopped along the road above and followed the path passed the Church of Saint Nicholas down to a beautiful view of the waterfall.

Quiet place in November, but sea temperature was super nice. Supermarkets are open, as well as some restaurants. There was a lot of construction going on. Many tavernas close to attractions are closed, so take plenty of snacks.DorisNetherlands

If you are there for partying in Plakias or for excursions, this lace is great. Plenty of parking space around. It is not a 5* hotel, but a charming (in a simple way) place to spend the nights. If you are there for the beach, this is probably not a place for you - although the beach is very close, it is on the other side of the road.qnstiePoland
