This apartment was fully refurbished to the highest western standard. This five stars, luxury apartment has two large bedrooms with high King Size bed in each. Both bedrooms have separate entries from the living room, the elegant sliding doors permitting privacy for those sleeping in each room. Each bedroom has convenient access to private bath/WC and kitchen through the foyer. The luxurious bathrooms are designed with walk-in rain showers. In the cozy living room, there is the very comfortable sofa bed. This apartment could accommodate up to 4 persons. ***Please note that late check-in after 22:00 carries a EUR 30 surcharge. The owners of the Golden Stars Apartments in Budapest are Tom (painter and ceramic artist) and Sother (fashion designer and interior decorator). We are both artists living and working in Budapest, where we take an active part in the city’s artistic and cultural life and participate in various international exhibitions as well. Our apartments give you a taste of aristocratic Budapest and its highly developed cultural life. As professional artists/designers, we have strived to create an exclusive, aesthetically pleasing environment. We have both designed suites for various major hotels (such as Ritz and Hilton) and sought to outfit our apartments to equally high, luxurious standards.
THE HISTORY: The house in which the apartment is established is worthy of attention: it is a historical monument and it belongs to Hungary's national heritage. This beautiful apartment house was built in 1860. Before the 1WW on the ground floor, a famous textile monopolist Paul Bramer established a luxurious textile shop. Recently the shop was renovated diligently preserving its authenticity and opened the top fashion designers gallery. And it seems that the house could not avoid a bliss of luxury: the first Miss Hungary, Boshke Simon, who won the crown in 1928 elections in Budapest, and next year she became the Miss of Europe in Paris was a resident of this house for decades as she married to high society person and the owner of the textile shop Paul Bramer. They were living in the second-floor apartment just one-floor bellow. As Boshke Simon was an icon of very popular pre-war Budapest saloon life we hope that our apartment will be an outstanding icon in your travel diary for its style, comfort and aesthetics.
