Heather Cottage is a bright & comfortable detached bungalow, situated on a private site, centrally located between the villages of Creeslough and Carrigart on Donegal's Wild Atlantic Way. We are 20km from Letterkenny (20min), 10km from Dunfanaghy and 12km from Downings & scenic Atlantic Drive with numerous sandy beaches along this drive. Perfectly located for visitors seeking a vacation in peaceful countryside setting, with a lake a 5 min walk away, 2km from the main N56, with many beaches a short drive away. We have Doe Castle (built in the 15th century) is 4km away. Glenveagh National Park / Castle is worth a visit. Ards Forest Park & Ards Friary with beaches within walking distance from both these places, all nearby places of interest. Heather Cottage is also a good base for mountain climbing, fishing and many of our visitors attend the Narosa Surf School. The property consists of a larger spacious kitchen/living room with a patio door, sitting room with solid fuel stove. Oil fired central heating is included. Electricity is payable by metre (E 1 / 2 coins). Strictly NO SMOKING policy inside the holiday home. Pets are NOT permitted. Free WIFI for visitors.
I have been hosting visitors for almost 20 years. I enjoy meeting new visitors and also welcoming back past visitors that have stayed at Heather Cottage previously. I am always available for any advice visitors may require or if they have a problem, I am always on hand to help them out.
We have a lake 5 min walk from the cottage. There is a country lane adjacent to the cottage where visitors like to go walking.
