Aambal is a boutique estate villa, at the centre of a coffee plantation in Wayanad. The experience is all about jaw dropping panoramic views, in a stunning location with utmost privacy and seclusion. Enjoy the best of luxury and amenities, accompanied by exceptional food. Situated at the top of a hill, the villa offers you a never-ending view with constantly changing vistas through the day. We aspire that our guests experience an informal and warm atmosphere at Aambal and would be thrilled if you join us with your extended family and friends to experience this. We encourage you to unplug from your virtual life and immerse yourself in this spectacular setting, surrounded by nature, where the smiles are genuine, the food is fresh, and a host of other activities are available for you to indulge in.
Aambal is a part of a large coffee plantation – “Arimunda Estate”, which belonged to my grand father, Narayana Kurup. Out of this, we earmarked 10 acres of land exclusively for Aambal. Originally the land was used for cultivating tea tree oil, currently the land is filled with Robusta coffee, rosewood, varieties of bamboo and large number of fruit bearing trees. We are sure that staying at Aambal, will leave you with happy memories. So,look forward to seeing you here!
The Karapuzha Reservoir is the largest of its kind in India. This earth dam is built across the Karapuzha river and stands tall at 28 meters along a length of 625 meters. This whopping reservoir attracts tourists all year round, especially for a fun boating experience amidst the calm waters of the dam. Despite its initial purpose of irrigation, the dam, because of it's fresh foliage, attracts birds and bird-watchers. The landscaped gardens make for an enjoyable picnic spot with family or friends, and a small children's park is built to cater to kids’ needs. While there is no entry fee to access this mighty dam, it is advisable to visit between the hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. This all-weather destination is best enjoyed with loved ones and a picnic basket
