Laugarfell Accommodations & Hot Springs is located in the Eastern Highlands and is at the border of Vatnajökull National Park. From Laugarfell you have access to many hiking trails and you are close to the road leading to Askja. Laugarfell is accessible for all types of vehicles. The hotel can accommodate up to 28 guests and campers. The twin rooms are decorated with simply pine furnishings and Mount Snæfell can be seen from some of the rooms. There is a shared guest lounge and restaurant. The restaurant offers breakfast, dinner and coffee, cake and snacks. The hotel is 47 mi from Egilsstaðir, 25 mi from Hengifoss and 15 mi from Snæfellskáli. Laugarfell is the start of the waterfall circle hike.

During mid-February to mid-March, roads are closed due to snowy winter conditions. Free airport transfers from Egilsstadir Airport via a super jeep is included during this period.
