From Laugarfell you have access to many hiking trails and you are close to the road leading to Askja. Laugarfell is accessible for all types of vehicles. During mid-February to mid-March, roads are closed due to snowy winter conditions. Free airport transfers from Egilsstadir Airport via a super jeep is included during this period.
