This is the best place we stayed in our 7 weeks of travel all over Europe . The location and the room is perfectly decorated and you feel like you are at home . The host is the most friendly and professional of any host ever in my years of raveling the world . We have travel Europe every year for the last 30 years and will return to stay here .

The location was perfect! Steps from the charming square where we loved having cappuccino/breakfast in the morning & steps from the lake on both sides. The host Diana was absolutely wonderful : ) She was so welcoming & helpful! Spends time giving you the lay of the land. Lots of special touches- bottle of Prosecco, chocolates, homemade biscotti, votives lit on terrace when arrive home in the evening! The apartment had new modern amenities while maintaining the Italian charm. Beautiful bathroom with rain shower, great A/C unit. Beautiful place, amazing value! We loved Varenna & Casa Contrada Bella! I do extensive research & was so glad I booked here!

Beautiful property that is spotless and well maintained. Has everything you need, air conditioning, and you can tell it has been remodeled very tastefully by keeping some of the original design elements. The location is truly amazing! Everything is within walking distance, including the lakefront, restaurants, cafes, etc. Last but not least, the hostess, Diana, deserves praise. She went above and beyond to make sure we’re taken care of! She knew it was our honeymoon so she decorated the place for us and gave us a lovely welcome. She also helped us tweak our itinerary and gave very helpful suggestions on how to navigate the ferries, what to do on rainy days, etc. I am just extremely happy with our stay, and would love to come back one day! Highly recommended

Diana is wonderful! She helped us plan our days in Varenna, she booked our taxi to the train station, and she personally contacted restaurants for us to get us a reservation for dinner. She sent us home with home-made biscotti’s as well. We love her! The place was perfect for our needs. Immaculately clean, a perfect location, good air conditioning. We will be back.

My wife and I stayed at this property when we visited Lake Como this summer. Diana is the perfect host, she provided us the required information ahead of time and helped in planning our trip better. We were looking for a few days of relaxing and hiking around a bit, and this was a perfect location. All amenities were within walking distance, the town square, the ferries, the restaurants, etc. The view from the property is not great since it overlooks other properties in the street, but it didn't matter to us since we were outside a lot. We also like the privacy of the place - we hardly ran into a lot of people in the property or the street. We were welcomed with a bottle of Prosecco and sent off with home-made cookies :-) Definitely recommend.

Exceptional. We hadn't really planned any itinerary but Diana goes out of her way to make you completely ready with everything that can be seen in the time there. The location is perfect. Small view of the lake but not so important if you are going to be out most of the day. The room was clean, the facilities were amazing, interiors were cozy and bed was super comfortable. The small touches such as welcome drinks and snacks were a sweet touch. As good of a host as you will get. Would definitely recommend her to anyone visiting varenna.
