Our stay at this hostel was simply wonderful. Tucked away in a charming Sri Lankan village, it offered a peaceful escape from the city buzz. The homemade breakfast was a highlight, bursting with delicious flavors that truly made our mornings special. The hostel's location was ideal - close enough to the city center for convenience, yet surrounded by lush gardens that made us feel like we were in a tropical paradise. But what made our stay truly memorable was the owner's incredible hospitality. He went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, even helping us arrange a driver for our safari to Yala and our trip to Welligama. So if you're looking for a serene getaway with a personal touch, this hostel is the perfect choice. We can't recommend it enough.

This property is a sweet little gem at the end of the road nestled in the jungle. The owner has built 2 lovely little houses next to his own and painted them in lovely, soothing colors. Our little house has a very comfortable bed, great shower, and private little outdoor table with a view of small garden, the other house with a larger view of the jungle. Everything very clean. Our host was incredibly attentive to all our wishes and served a generous, delicious breakfast, (comes with that stay) and fabulous Sri Lankan dinner. The property is small but so very charming.

Nalin is a super host…from the moment we met him he was ready to help make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. His suite was spotless and the meals his mom prepared were delicious. Our table would always be set and ready for us overlooking the beautiful landscape. The night we arrived, we had accidentally left our phone on the train. Nalin made some calls and was able to locate and get our phone back to us!!!! He also helped with all of our sight seeing plans and was able to make suggestions so that we could squeeze as much into our stay as possible. The two nights flew by and we would return in a heartbeat. If you are thinking about booking, do not hesitate…the best stay so far on our trip around Sri Lanka.

This was definitely one of our favourite stays in Sri Lanka - you felt like you had your own little private jungle paradise away from the business in Ella. We had the place to ourselves (currently one room but Nalin is finishing another). The room had a comfortable four poster bed and the bathroom design gave a spa-like feel. Nalin was incredibly welcoming - offering us a beautiful smoothie on arrival, giving us information and advice about Ella. Nalin's cooking is incredible - by far the best breakfasts we had in Sri Lanka - generous in every sense. Having breakfast on the porch surrounded by nature was an amazing way to start the day.

Great "little Paradise" a bit outside the city (10-15mins walk to the center) in the middle of the nature. You wake up hearing birds and other animals - amazing. The owner is the best person we met in Sri Lanka - always helpful and he supports with everything. Please take the dinner at this place - best curry we had in Sri Lanka. Try this place is a MUST!
