Friendly young staffs with warm hospitality. Love to walk to the beach for watch the amazing red sunset & local people (carry their products, some on their heads), to walking pass by. Unique accommodation and quiet away from busy buzz spots. Best moment is, watch wild lemurs to visit in the early morning - for their fruit breakfast.

First is baobab avenue. It is amazing. Second is beach.

First is baobab avenue. It is amazing. Second is beach. Good food and very nice atmosphere is in Rasta restaurant. If you go from Antananarivo with car the roud is very bad. The road is 740km long but it is 17h away. It is full of holes. You book a plane on time, because they only go twice a week Antananarivo to Morondava.

I was there about 8 years ago.

I was there about 8 years ago. But everything now seems to be very run-down and neglected. Situated close to the famous and unique Avenue of Baobab trees which is worth a visit. Otherwise the town is not of much interest except for some low cost bars where it is easy to pick up a girl.

If you want to go to Tsingy National Park, Kirindy Reserve,...

If you want to go to Tsingy National Park, Kirindy Reserve, and Avenue of the Baobabs, you are going to spend some time in Morondava. And because there are relatively few flights to and from Morondava, you will probably spend more time than you want to spend in Morondava. There isn't much to see in the town itself other than the market, but the beaches are nice enough, and it's worth taking a boat to the fishermen's village across the river. There are several nice restaurants on the peninsula south of town.
