Amazing city with a lot of history. Ulica Macedonia is amazing, with lot of cafes and restaurants. The Old Bazaar offers a glimpse to the history with the Ottoman empire. Lots of monuments from the reach Macedonian history (from Alexander the Great to now). Lots to do if you are an outdoorsy type. You can take the cable car and go to Vodno for some spectacular views and hiking. Canyon Matka is near by with amazing views as well. The nightlife is really good with a lot of choices. The prices are cheaper than the rest of Europe, so you get more for less. I will visit again and will spend more time in Ohrid (Medieval town on a lake, and Kokino (bronze age observatory)..

Skopje is a beutiful city with lots of culture and history, lots of very nice traditional restaurants and some very nice walks. The river Vader runs through the middle of the city. One of the bridges over it is 500 years old! Be sure to visit m vodno mountain. Home of the larges cross in Europe, cable car journey to the top is 1 euro per person, you can see right across the city. Also vodno is good for people hiking or mountain biking. There is plenty of refreshments at the top and lots of areas to relax.

There are many errors in the listing.
There are many errors in the listing. The reception is closed from 10 PM till 8 AM. There is no bar (I don't use anyway). There is no seating area in the room, except for a straight backed chair at the desk. There is no in-house restaurant. The only meal available is breakfast, served at 8 AM. It's not a continental breakfast. There is one set menu: orange juice, omelette, a cheese sandwich, lots of sliced bread and coffee.

Skopje city center still seems to be an undiscovered city for many western traveller's and is a must see even for a day or two. It is relatively small, safe and still cheap compared to other cities. The people were all friendly and went out of their way to assist and guide. The city is relatively flat so easy walking and a mixture of new and old architecture. As always construction still taking place in parts.

Absolutly crazy architecture, designed by Polish architects after disastrous earhquake in 60. Amazing shuk. Great Makedonian wine (my favourites: Bile makedonskie from Stobi and dry white Aleksandria from Tikvesh). Nice, cool, people, speaking English. Friendly town dogs. River bank and parks. Absolutely my favourite capital and country in Europe. Hope Makedonia soon joins EU.

Skopje has a small city center, the buildings are in a strange style, not fitting in the towns history. There are a lot of statues, there literary everywhere! most shops are in shopping malls, the one in the center looks very old and is in bad shape. the others are far from the center, but modern and really nice.
its good for a city trip, the food is amazing and the prices acceptable.
one of the best places is the old bazaar, close to the center.
The hostel is at the very center of the city. You can walk 2 minutes for the city centre "Macedonia Square", 3 minutes to city museum (old train station), etc. I always walked, which was not at all long. The price is good, considering the location and the inside (truthfully, the same cheap price for every other hostel in Balkans). The stuff (a guy) was very helpful. There is free coffee. When I changed my plans and had to leave one day early, he gave me my money back with no problem.
What a beautiful hotel. Not right in the centre of the city , only 2km away but a five minute drive in a taxi, taxis are very cheap. It also has an incredible restaurant which was full every lunchtime and evening. It was full for a reason. But the best thing about the hotel was the staff, who were so helpful and kind to me and my friends on our first visit to Skopje.
In the center of Skoplje. Very close almost to anything. Room was big, clean with nice view, but mind you I was not in "hotel" than they took me into "bed and breakfast" part. Essentially it's converted apartment on I think 3rd floor. I saw their hotel rooms - very small with terrible view so avoid that.
It's very nice hotel in the city center of Skopje - very good location. It has reasonable price, nice spa including saunas and small pool and gym. Breakfast are OK and staff is very friendly. I have already stayed twice her and I might come again in the future. I do recommend this hotel one to everyone.
The place is at the city center. You can walk to the Turkish street and to the Stone Bridge. I parked my car in front of the hotel and never had to drive again. There is also parking available under the hotel building. Breakfast was more than enough, we enjoyed it.
I prefer every time I come to Skopje with its clean, big rooms and excellent breakfast, with a beautiful park view, walking distance to everywhere in the city center. The staff is very helpful and caring, and you can use the hotel's bikes whenever you want.
The hotel is located in an excellent location, right in the center of Skopje, near all major tourist attractions, shops, and restaurants. The hotel itself has a café and restaurant, an executive lounge for work or meetings, a spa, and an excellent gym.
A quiet location close enough to the city center to be walkable, far enough away to be away from the noise and business. The hotel is in the hills above the city in a very nice neighborhood with a lot of houses used by people in the local embassies.
Nice neighborhood, only a short walk to the city center, and there’s also a nice restaurant close to the apartment.
The host is super nice and he offers the airport taxi service. Highly recommend anyone to book this place if visiting Skopje!
Perfect. The room was as per the pictures, the hotel is impeccably clean, with a nice garden terrace and very well located to visit the center of Skopje. The staff is always available, adorable and does everything to satisfy you. I loved it
The hotel is very comfortable, with good breakfast and very good WiFi. The staff is kind and professional. Hotel location is perfect for tourists - near Old Bazaar, Skopje Fortress and city center.
With just a few steps you are in the old Bazaar and 5 min walk from Skopje center.Shops.and cafes are all around the hotel plus taxis are a stone throw away.......perfekt place for a short stay.
The hotel is literally in the center of Skopje, like 20 m from the statue of Alexander.
The hotel has also quite a nice design and the people working there are very kind and helpful.
Very interesting hotel, in the city centre, I mean really in the centre. The breakfast was great, we would certainly come here if we would stay in Skopje another night.
Great small hotel in perfect location. Center of Skopje. We stayed only one night and everything was great. Kind and wellcoming stuff. Guarded parking is a bonus.
