As one of the biggest cities in the world, Mexico City could be better described as an experience than a city. Founded in 1325 by the Aztecs as Tenochtitlan, it was both destroyed and rebuilt by the Spanish in the 16th century. Nowadays, it is the capital of the United Mexican States and its most important economic and cultural center.
The city center’s cornerstone is the famous Plaza de la Constitución, commonly called Zócalo. It's surrounded by the presidential Palacio Nacional and the Mexico City Metropolitan Cathedral.
The Avenida de la Reforma was built under the brief rule of Archduke Ferdinand Maximilian of Austria, while the deposed president Porfirio Díaz left a characteristic fusion of French-Mexican architecture. The 1960s saw a demographic explosion that only now is starting to be completely absorbed.
From the Chapultepec Parks and the chic Polanco, to the gay area of Zona Rosa and the Bohemian and intellectual Coyoacán: let Mexico City tell you its thousand secrets and stories.
Most of the hotels are located around the Reforma area, the Insurgentes Avenue and the Zócalo. If you’re looking for 5-star hotels in Mexico City, the modern Santa Fe area has a recently redeveloped business sector.

Mexico City did not disappoint; it was full of culture and delicious food. My favorite tour was the hot air balloon ride over the Teotihuacan pyramids. Museums and historical sites are a must. I would avoid eating at places where they have staff screaming at you to come in and try their food. We ate some terrace with a view of the Zocalo, the view was beautiful, but the food was the worst.

During my stay I choose Calle Culiacan because many tourists live or visit the area, but also because many places to explore are not far, always use taxies that the hotel call or the ones that are controlled by the agency, ask before you take the taxy how much they will cost you do not allow them to rob you, if you like the service of one ask for their contact info. the regular price for 30 min distance regular price is $380 pesos mx or $24 dollar and for the Chapultepec Park to Culiacan Street they should not charge you more than $150 pesos, I ate at the Mendl Delicatessen, the sandwiches were tasty, breakfast at Maque cute and old fashioned they charge me $46 dollars one person, I love tacos and Tacoarte was so good, you pay one drink second free , tacos al pastor my favorite. I visit the Anthropology Museum of Mexico, and the Castillo of Chapultepec, they were amazing and unique only cost you $95 pesos mx each.

Mexico City has come a long way from 10 years ago I was here, the city feels a lot more secure now. I would definitely recommend visiting this city. Sooo much to do and see! Not to mention the huge gastronomy variety.

I was pleasantly impressed with Mexico City.
I was pleasantly impressed with Mexico City. Its people are very kind and respectful, and very proud of their roots, they know their history very well, and feel proud ot it. Despite the large number of inhabitants, it is a very clean city, and very well preserved. Their food is fascinating, I loved the tacos al Pastor from El Tizoncito, and the churros with chocolate.

From the moment I arrived, Mexico City captured my heart with its vibrant culture and warm hospitality. I had the pleasure of visiting iconic locations such as the majestic Castle of Chapultepec and its serene park, and I navigated the city with ease using the efficient metro and Metro bus services. A highlight was the enchanting boat ride through the canals of Xochimilco and a visit to the spiritual Basilica, each offering unique insights into the city's rich heritage. To top it all off, attending a Madonna concert was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that added an extra sparkle to my visit.
The city's blend of history, culture, and modern attractions makes it a top destination for any traveler. I am already looking forward to my next visit and would highly recommend this mesmerizing city to anyone considering a visit. Mexico City, you have left an indelible mark on my heart!
We had the most wonderful stay at Colima! The staff truly makes you feel at home and the service was above and beyond. The interior is beautiful, the rooms spacious, the breakfast delicious. We will absolutely be staying here again next time we come to Mexico City. A perfect boutique hotel in the heart of Roma, near all the best shops and restaurants. Thank you to the entire staff at Colima- you are all wonderful!!!!
Stayed here twice during a 3 week trip to Mexico. Very stylish hotel in a good neighborhood for restaurants and bars. It's located in the quieter side of Juarez so you avoid a lot of the Zona Rosa noise. You can easily walk to Roma and Condesa or reach the historical center in a couple of metro stops. Staff were friendly. I've stayed at many hotels in CDMX over the years and this is probably the best.
Very stylish hotel in the Condesa area of Mexico City. Our rooms were very spacious, clean and luxurious and the beds were extremely comfortable. We were welcomed by Diego with a shot of Mexcal and both Diego and Ester were very helpful during our stay. The hotel was in easy walking distance of many cafes and restaurants and we felt very safe walking around the area even at night
This is a luxury boutique hotel which I was surprised to find at such a cheap rate. Obviously this is due to less travellers during the COVID situation. But that was to my benefit. I was extremely happy with the room quality, size, comfort and service - and breakfast was included! The location is close to Zona Rosa but far enough away to be not affected by crowds and noise.
Everything. The hotel is super clean and the staff very helpful. The room was very quiet and the bed was spacious and comfy. The reservation included a nice free breakfast. I like the location because is very close to Alameda Central and several restaurants. I've stayed in many cheap hotels closer to Centro Historico but none met my expectations. I'll come back for sure.
Location is phenomenal just a few blocks from major city arteries and great places to eat. It’s a revamped house converted into this charming boutique hotel and the staff makes you feel you’re in their home, cooking breakfast from the kitchen and couple feet from you. Gaby and Marcela made us feel so special, and also made us the best emoladas we had in many years!
Fantastic boutique hotel with great service and roofdeck. Loved their continental breakfast, which was included. It's a beautifully designed art-deco buildling located a few feet away from Amsterdam Avenue in Condesa. They also had great recommendations in the room for restaurants and sites to see for those interested in design and culture.
Big and comfortable room, quiet and well equipped. We had a room on the 9th floor with a great view on park and castle. Staff were very nice. Haven’t tried breakfast or gym, nothing to say about them. Location is great for those who want to see a lot of the city - the hotel is conveniently located between Polanco, Roma and across the park.
Nice location, La Condesa is full of restaurants and bars and easy to get to the center.Hotel was nice, well equipped and furnished, people helpful and it had the fastest internet we had in Mexico city (we have the comparison with other three places). We had the appartment with great wiew in the 4th floor.
We had a one night layover while flying in / out of Mexico City airport. The huge bonus is that this hotel offers a complementary airport shuttle which we used in both directions. This was incredibly helpful and reduced stress. So for this reason, I would recommend this hotel.
Gorgeous location-an old mansion turned into the prettiest boutique hotel. Staff made things easy-happily made hard to get dinner reservations, arranged covid tests and were generally helpful. Super sweet stay for a romantic getaway in beautiful Polanco.
This is probably the best hotel in Mexico City. Why? the helpfulness, professionalism and friendliness of the staff is outstanding. The hotel is in a great location in the centre of Polanco. the rooms are great. Big, comfortable and contemporary.
The place is comfortable... Surround with restaurants especially Cafe Shanghai and Cafe Kowloon and others. Moreover 0.5miles away is full of restaurants too for visiting.
The breakfast is superb.... One if the best among Mexico city hotels..
Wonderful boutique hotel. Very beautiful. The staff went above and beyond to make us comfortable. We liked the Polanco neighborhood, and found it easy to take Uber wherever we wanted to go in the city.
Conveniently located in between the Roma Norte and La Condesa neighbourhoods in Mexico City, clean, no-fuss hotel with large beds and friendly staff. Good value for money.
Fine for a quick stay between flights at Mexico City Airport. There is a pedestrian bridge between the terminal and the hotel, so very safe when arriving at night.
