It is a house boat so make your own breakfast. It was my first time staying in a house boat, It was different but nice. Some low ceilings in going to the bedrooms but a great spot. Location was not to far from centre about 15mins walk.

The Prince Royal Houseboat is located in (for us) the most beautiful district of Amsterdam - the Jordaan district. There are many nice restaurants and cafés in the area if you wish to go out in the evening. Also, there is a café opposite the houseboat - they sell fresh bread and pastries for breakfast. We did not expect to sleep so well but the calm and quiet surrounding of the boat is the perfect location for an accomodation in Amsterdam. We really appreciated that the boat had two bedrooms and two bathrooms and a very spacious kitchen and living room. From the two terraces you can watch people and boats passing by and enjoy a glass of wine. All in all, we would recommend this place 100% and if we ever come back, we would love to stay at this wonderful place again :)

The houseboat was perfect in every way. The boat had everything you might want from a toaster to a hairdryer. Everything was squeaky clean and the hostess was super friendly and accommodating. The location was amazing. Couldn't have asked for more. Worth every penny!

  • Hi I’m looking to book this for early December for a weekend obviously a bit concerned with the Cora virus restriction what is the situation at the moment in Amsterdam regarding shops , restaurants, pubs ect
    The situation in Amsterdam is pretty safe. We have a very high vaccination rate. shops and restaurants are open.

    Of course the boat is safe at night. The front door has a lock. And the windows are all locked. And it's in one of the safest neighborhoods.

I have traveled the world and have decided to make Amsterdam my home. I love boats, water and good quality and meeting other travellers!
This is the best neighbourhood of Amsterdam, really the heart of the city. In the middle of the canals, with a stunning view of the Wester Church and the Ann Frank house, it does not get better than this!
