This 4-star design hotel is located in the historic centre of Amsterdam. V Nesplein offers stylish rooms with free WiFi and a restaurant. Central Station is 850 metres away. I stayed at Hotel V Nesplein for nine nights during an extended business trip.

A must for newcomers - if only to appreciate its' sheer scale in person! Truly epic proportions and a case of near visual overload, looking at all the grand buildings. Again, this is the tourist heart of the city, but from here all streets lead to somewhere intriguing!
It is a beautiful area and the hub to many side streets each containing small, individual and large stores of all types. Flat shoes are useful in the city centre as the streets are cobbled (and beautiful) and there are tram lines. Look all around you when crossing streets.
Extremely busy and bustling from lunch time late into the evening. Motorbikes, pushbikes etc fill up the pavements and they aren’t afraid to drive at you either! Take care of your belongings and expect to be pushed about a bit
Lovely atmostphere. Nice place to people watch/ grab a quick coffee. public street performers may also set up and perform around this location. Tram stop just off the square. Highly recommend staying in the square very close and central to everything although tram networks here are the best Ive ever seen. (buy the pass so it will last for your entire trip, if you choose not to rent a bike! )
This is the centre of the activity. Lots of people around. Be aware of bicycles and scooters and trams. It can be very dangerous just walking! But it was such a cool experience. Go to the Heineken Experience and do the hop on hop off canal boat.
RESPECT!! If you go there. Please respect this wonderful place. Do not behave as the other stupid tourist who think Amsterdam is an attraction/theme park and not one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

I work in Hospitality so when I give A+ to reception staff and bar staff for friendly, helpful attitude it really is a compliment! We loved the cozy bar for a nightcap after a busy day. Beds were super comfortable. Location is good - not exactly in the center but only around 15 to 20 minutes walk from Amsterdam Central Station and to Rembrandt and Dam Square in the opposite direction. I would most definitely consider this hotel for future stays.

The hotel is in the best location! 5 minute walk from the station and 5 minutes from Dam Square and all the coffee shops, restaurants and attractions. The staff were really helpful and polite. The hotel doesn’t look the best from the outside but the rooms are really nice and modern. They’re all nicely decorated and the bathroom facilities weee also really good. 100% recommend for your stay in Amsterdam x

Very good. Amazing stuff beautiful hotel, very good breakfast, the room for three is not that big but the view made up for it. There arent a lot of places to eat close to the hotel abd the walk to dam square is about 20 minutes but filled with stores and beautiful bridges. Defentley would recommend.

The best thing was the place of the hotel. The place is very close to the dam square, to The tram station and to the shopping center.
Visit The Nine Streets 'De Negen Straatjes' for unique boutiques with the odd Abercrombie shop. I love the shoes here, try United Nude-pop up shops scattered around right now. I love De Bijenkorf (The Beehive), the department store by Dam Square for its one step ahead, soon to come homewares trends.
The city really speaks to you! Look at the buildings leaning sideways on each other, the trains running through the city, Dam square... history is staring at your face everywhere you turn.
If you take a detour from the main shopping strip leading to Dam Square, there are a number of smaller shops for the more particular shopper. My favourite was what looked like a small musical instrument shop, but turned out to be huge. There was also a retro computer game shop that was a little expensive but had an amazing array of consoles and games.
Stay off the beaten track and away from places like Dam Square and the Red Light District. There are plenty of small cafes and restaurants close to the canals. Look for where the local people go to eat and take recommendations from your hotel. Always worth checking out the restaurants in the Internet before you go and always try to book
Find Warmoestraat, near 22 (Hotel Old Quarter) and walk straight on towards Baba Coffeeshop, walk straight past and you get the Dam square. It's beautiful!
Red light district, shopping district near Dam square, Dam square its self, the Royal Palace, and of course the coffee shops!
