Great for kids and grown ups!
Great for kids and grown ups! It is a unique experience of a unique painter. Well organised and keeping you interested until the last work of art. Souvenir shops are great too, with some unsuspected souvenirs to take home and use every day.

Try to go early or late to avoid the crowds.
Try to go early or late to avoid the crowds. The museum allows people to take pictures of the pictures which makes it difficult for anyone else to appreciate the art. Otherwise, of course, Van Gogh is Van Gogh and always worth seeing and enjoying.

Make sure you book well in advance, many people were disappointed that the museum was booked out during their stay. It really is worth visiting. I would suggest late afternoon, in the hope that most people had been earlier as the morning was super busy and it was a bit hard to really appreciate a lot of the paintings due to numbers.

A lot to see and set out really good.
A lot to see and set out really good. We got the audio media but not really necessary as you can read in English the info of the audio pictures and the audio gives an impression of the paintings but I would rather form my own opinion. It really pays to book online as there were people trying to get a ticket and none were available for 3 days.

A must see.
A must see. Give yourself plenty of time and consider going first thing in the morning or near closing time to avoid the crowds. Much of the works a better when you have time to view them without a million others being right there.

The location was good, you can easily go to Van Gogh museum or Dam Square by bus or tram.We did not receive breakfast service, but it was sufficient for us. It met our expectations because we stayed there as a result of sudden and urgent events. It is a clean, affordable hotel.
Location is ideal- within walking distance of Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh museum- also close to various cafes. Our room was spacious- and despite the busy streets - not too noisy either overnight.
Loved the free minibar and coffee machine in the lounge and room.
The breakfast selection was a standard affair but liked that had the option of freshly cooked eggs.
The location was good and was close to things we wanted to see, Rijkmuseum, Van Gogh Museum and Anne Frank were within walking distance. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Hotel was quiet and well cared for. Rooms were small but not too small for downtown Amsterdam, bigger than I expected.
The room was beautifully furnished, with a view of Jan Luykensstraat, a lovely historic street near the Rijksmuseum. The location was great, as we had a late supper at an excellent Indonesian restaurant nearby and next morning had a walk in the nearby park and had time to look in the Van Gogh Museum giftshop and parallel street of designer shops. The breakfast buffet was excellent, and the staff were all helpful and welcoming.
Everything. You have park on 2 minutes, with bike city center is on 15 minutes. At Black bikes we rented 2 hand brake bikes with baby seat. Van Gogh museum ticket take 10 days before you visiting Amsterdam... 😉

Observing the coordination of bikes, cycles, cars, buses, trams, pedestrians...it was all so interesting. The ride on the canal was beautiful...the structure of the city and how it all comes together. The visit to the Van Gogh museum to see the work of one of my favorite artists.
