The owner is a lovely and welcoming person. We felt at home the second we entered the building. The details are chosen with love and passion. The cabin is cozy and well equipped. It is quiet and the surrounding is just beautiful. it’s a place to calm down and relax. we would have loved to stay longer but we had not enough time to.

Welcome to our paradise - Villa Lofoten. We work with ecotourism, art, and culture in the northern part of Norway. We want to share this beautiful place with others who appreciate the beauty of nature and culture. Welcome to us!

Property info

Sigurdbua is a separate housing unit at the end of Fisherman's Cabin. It is perfect for young explorers, a couple or two good friends. Here there is a sleeping loft (160 cm), a bed (90 cm) that serves as a sofa during the day, a desk, stove with two hotplates and oven, as well as an antique refrigerator. Water for cooking is available in the basement, where there is also a bathroom with shower and toilet. The house recently restored and centrally located in Lofoten near the main road E10, and in the middle between the towns of Leknes and Svolvær. Minimum 3 nights.

Towards the turn of the century, Kvalnes was affected by a decline in population. Houses were sold and new people moved in. Kvalnes is one of the six inhabited places in Vestvågøy with midnight sun. People who like Kvalnes are often people looking for presence, closeness to nature, and self-expression. Here you can be yourself. Let the day go by, just observing sun and light, tide and wind, bird life and seaweed, northern lights and stars, snow and ice. That's why you're as likely to meet an astrophysicist from Belgium as a birdwatcher from Canada, an Indian photographer or an Australian surfer here. This was not always the case. Until the 1980s most people who lived at Kvalnes were what we call fisher-farmers. They survived through a combination of farming and fishing.
