Nice full equiped and modern apartment with 2 rooms and comfy double beds, excellent living roon with sofa, TV and balcony, very clean and nice bathroom. Host was attentive and friendly. Perfect for families, my children enjoyed thier stay here. Excellent location in Odda Sentrum close to restaurants and cruise port.

Company info

Helga Tverdal, the owner, is from Austria, but has lived in Odda for over 30 years. She’s as Norwegian as anybody, while still having maintained her roots – along with her interest in environment, nature and health. She has a degree within hotel expertise and -management and has been part of the management of three travel agencies for over 25 years. She had the main responsibility for the economy, in addition to being the general manager for three years before she chose to sell the business. Those years of experience in tourism are now benefiting her when working with Bakkegata - The Blue House. At the same time, Helga has a long education in natural medicine and many years’ experience through her work with natural therapy, e.g. aromatherapy, massage and reflexology. This can easily be combined with the management of the blue house. Bakkegata – The Blue House has shaped her life for several years now, and both her and the rest of the team are looking forward to welcoming you! As the house's owner, Helga also lives in the blue house herself, you don't have far to walk if there are any questions or you need help with something.

“Bakkegata – The Blue House” is a stunning 100-year-old Art Nouveau house located right in the centre of Odda. 2018 it has been completely renovated, and we are now proud of a building that combines the exquisite beauty of the old design with high-tech like an elevator, Wi-Fi, and every other modern comfort. You have the choice between 5 well equipped holiday apartments and in the high season also an even more affordable mixed dormitory. Harbour, bus terminal and tourist information are nearby: a shopping street with stores of all sizes, restaurant and bars, health and wellness centres, gas stations, doctors and pharmacies provides everything you need within walking distance! We speak your language and look forward to your visit!

Odda is a small town in Hardanger, an area of Western Norway renowned for its beautiful fjords, being surrounded by mountains, its waterfalls, the snow-covered mountains, and its green valleys. The town is located perfectly at the end of The Southern Fjord - Sørfjorden, and right between two national parks. During spring, Hardanger, with its innumerous fruit trees, transforms into an ocean of blooming trees. During the winter, Røldal and Seljestad are obvious stops for anyone who likes winter sports like skiing. The mountains around Odda have plenty of inviting hiking trails, for both long and short hikes. One of the most famous ones obviously being Trolltunga, which has reached international fame in the past few years and is a huge attraction for visitors. But Odda and Hardanger are both so much more than just Trolltunga.
