Black Walnut Cottage is a freshly renovated and beautifully presented self-catering holiday home located on the outskirts of Havelock North. The cottage has everything you need for a comfortable stay and is ideal for couples looking for a quiet and convenient base in Hawke’s Bay. The cottage is set in the grounds of what was once St George Estate Winery a 5 minute drive to the village or an easy 15 minute stroll. The cottage is two storey and consists of a modern open plan kitchen / dining / living on the ground floor (plus toilet and laundry) with two sets of bi-fold doors that open out onto a large sunny deck with a rural outlook. Upstairs are two large extremely light and airy King size bedrooms that share a modern bathroom consisting of a bath and separate shower. There is also an additional day bed in one of the bedrooms. The original old winery building next door to the cottage has since been leased out and converted to a restaurant, St George’s Restaurant, so for those that are not keen on self-catering you have an outstanding dining option only a stone’s throw away.

Just 30 minutes from Napier Airport, 10 minutes from the city of Hastings and just 5 minutes from the quaint and historic village of Havelock North. It is set right in the heart of New Zealand's premier wine growing region and many of New Zealand's most famous wine names are literally on your doorstep. Beautiful beaches, golf courses, trout fishing rivers and shopping are all just minutes away.
