Location, space, and plenty to keep the crew happy - Family at Wharewaka has you set for a fun lake getaway! Everyone can have their space with living across 2 levels, as well as plenty of outdoor living area so you can enjoy year round comfort... Relax on the deck upstairs while the kids challenge each other to a game of Foosball downstairs - this is a perfect set up for larger groups, with cosy interior plus 2 kitchens and 2 bathrooms to ensure the ultimate in convenience. You can keep it casual with the BBQ on hand for easy holiday feasts, or head up the road for a selection of cafes. When it's time to burn off some energy, you can stroll to the lake at the end of the street for scenic walks and bike rides along the waters edge. Other adventure activities include trips to Huka Falls, visiting the hot springs, or head out for days on the lake... Awesome year round adventures are sure to please the Family at Wharewaka! Please note that guests will need to provide own firewood if wishing to use the note a bond may be charged at certain times of the year. Abel Tasman National Park is the smallest National Park in New Zealand, but it is one of the most scenic. Abel Tasman boasts pristine white sandy beaches, tranquil estuaries and wonderful forested headlands. The Coastal Track is world famous, and visitors can choose to explore it on their own, or with a guide. Other ways to explore the coastline include sea kayaking, yacht, or water taxis. At the southern entrance to Abel Tasman National Park there is fantastic opportunity for visitors to swim with seals.
