Rose’s Pio Beach Getaway has a lovely light and open feel, a very friendly and relaxing place. Great value for money, this stylishly renovated house is a spacious and well appointed 3 story holiday home right on the water looking across to the hills beyond. Well set up for a holiday stay; BBQ and outdoor courtyard & porch, full kitchen, large lounge, 4 bedrooms, comfy beds, 1 bathroom, 2 WC, TV. Restaurants and shops nearby. Very open plan and sleeping up to 10+, this is ideal for extended family holidays or friends getting away together. Looking over the harbour and only 400m from the surf beach, there's also Anzac Bay just down the road - a safe flat water swimming beach. We have beach gear to use, kids toys, books and Netflix, YouTube online TV, free wifi. There are local restaurants within walking distance, 'The Bowentown' next door does great fish and chips and pizza (eat in or takeout) and has live music Friday and Saturday nights - it's quite the music scene! Wonderful walks, cycle tracks, kitesurfing, fishing, surfing, take your pick.
Welcome to Rose's Pio Beach Getaway situated at Bowentown in Waihi Beach. This is an area I love, I've been coming here my whole life and am very pleased to be able to share this wonderful place with you. I recently bought the house and have been busy renovating and making it ideal for guests to stay with the hope that you enjoy visiting this area of the country and the house as much as I enjoy being here.
The Bowentown end of Waihi Beach has access to both the harbour (lovely views of this and the hills beyond from the house) and is only 400m from the ocean and surf beach, a spectacular 9km long stretch of sand, sea and views. There are restaurants, bars and cafes in the area if you feel like dining out and nearby grocery stores and shops in the Waihi Beach Village if you are after more supplies. Next door is a Restaurant (The Bowentown) with live music every Friday and Saturday nights. Dine in and enjoy the music or order takeaways and eat in. The gregarious host Tony specializes in pizza, fish and chips and also has gourmet burgers, steak and other delicious options. Take a walk in any direction, and enjoy being out and about; go for a bike ride, take to the water or hop in your car and visit some of the local attractions in the area.
