The Treehouse is our Christchurch holiday house where we often stay to catch up with our Christchurch family and friends. We love this house because its in a lovely area where we can take the odd walk to coffee, enjoy a variety of different cuisines and keep younger family members occupied in a number of different activities. These include plenty of mountain or road bike sorties, walking the tracks, travelling over the hill into Lyttelton harbour and Banks Peninsula. Driving to Sumner and shopping trips either into the city, the Colombo or the Tannery complexes. Movies can be enjoyed at the Colombo. We love the house and love guests who treat it as we would.. We try and keep the decor current and have spent a lot of time over this current summer completing lots of upgrades inn the kitchen and ensuite bathroom. All the furniture is comfortable, new and not precious, so that people can relax. Internet connection is fibre so relatively efficient. We haven't provided cable TV, just the basics, there are DVD's and games. For us, family time doesn't usually involve TV! We have lovely neighbours who are always impressed with the great guests we have had to stay in the past.

Being our holiday house - I will not generally be on site. I'm a phone call away. I have an adult daughter who is quite happy to pop by and attend to any issues. She works full time and has a family, but will do her best to make you feel welcome if there is something that needs attending to. I do travel to the house frequently though to make sure all is well for guests as well as family catch ups and R&R.

Considered a popular and desirable neighborhood in which to live, life here is relaxed and friendly. Being a popular spot for cycling and walking, there is always someone around the streets. We are well serviced with a great range of cafes and casual dining supplemented by two good supermarkets and specialty butchers and food stores along with access to good quality shopping centres.
