I have to start by saying that when it comes to rest and comfort, the hotel delivers very well. The beds are truly comfortable, the mattresses are excellent quality, and you can tell they’ve invested in creating a space where you can sleep soundly. Also, the windows are completely soundproof — you can’t hear any noise from the outside, which is a big plus, especially in a city with heavy traffic. However, not everything is positive. One detail that really stands out — and not in a good way — is the pool. Every time I’ve stayed at this hotel, the pool has never been available. It’s always “under maintenance” or “temporarily out of service.” At this point, it feels like a recurring excuse. If they advertise it as part of the amenities, the least they could do is ensure it's actually usable. And although I don't like to single out individuals, I feel the need to mention the repeated behavior of a receptionist named Claudia. I understand everyone can have a bad day, but her attitude was consistently unpleasant. Every time I approached her with a question, she responded with clear disinterest, as if helping me was a burden rather than her job. She smiles awkwardly, with body language that communicates discomfort and rejection. It wasn’t just a one-time impression — it was a consistent pattern throughout my stay. It’s unfortunate, because the hotel infrastructure has potential. But when staff members convey indifference or a bad attitude, the guest experience drops significantly. Claudia wasn’t verbally rude, but her body language and tone were noticeably hostile and unprofessional. And that, especially at the front desk, reflects very poorly. In summary: excellent beds, great sound insulation, but services are unavailable and customer service falls short in key areas. A place that could be excellent... if they cared a little more about human interaction and delivering what they promise.

Clean, safe, the staff were exceptionally professional. I needed somewhere to sleep for a few hours during a layover. Taxi back to the airport took less than 10 minutes. They called me to wake me up, organised taxis and gave me a surprise breakfast including a much needed coffee. Seemed to be very accommodating to guests with flight transit needs.

    Great food scene, but it's just a big city. Cusco had a lot more character and seems more interesting for a tourist. I stayed 4 days in Lima just to try the different restaurants, but sightseeing wise, you definitely can do it in 1-2 days. Lima is also quite cloudy and foggy year round.

    I love the architecture, and the food in Lima is out of this world. You can get anything you wish, cooked to perfection. But then I love fusion foods and there were many restaurants to choose. Even the small ones were excellent. From the Plaza Mayor you can experience the old Spanish buildings and see locals do their thing. I enjoy going through the National Museum of Archeology, Anthropology, and History of Peru. The Miraflores Boardwalk is worth the walk if you have extra time. The Inca market is a great place for art, souvenirs, and silver jewelry. I enjoy going to Lima and Peru most of all.

    We stayed a full month and was very impressed with the area of barranco and Miraflores where we spent 90% of our time. It is a cool hip neighborhood with great restaurants. Felt very safe even after dark. We did a city tour once but didn’t explore the city much.

    Great shopping, a plethora of affordable restaurants with yummy food. Plenty of activities from cooking classes to fishing charters. Melaflores is vibrant and safe, though I would be cautious visiting other areas of the city without a local.

    Very different to what you may have seen, especially as we stayed in an area that is one of the poorer in Lima. Great to see all the different types of people working hard to try and give their families a better life. We are returning to Central Lima in a few weeks time.

    I feel Lima is worth a visit but two full days would be enough. I recommend you preplan your days - here are some ideas: 3-4 hour cooking class (Haku Tours was excellent); Free Walking Tours app - Barranco Murals; Larco Museum (don't miss!); and have reservations at 1-2 nice restaurants because they book up. We did not care for Plaza de Armas and the adjacent neighborhoods - very local, a bit depressing and a LOT of traffic. The parks were closed during our visit.

    Amazing hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful, the bed was comfortable, the decoration is slick and clean. The pool and rooftop bar a great view of the city and Miraflores is a great part of Lima. Food was great too and it’s great value for money.
