This apartment is located in Old Mokotow which is an old part of Mokotow district, the neighbourhood mostly consists of 100 years old tenement houses it is well maintained and safe, quite hipsterish. Old Mokotow is adjacent to City Centre district "Srodmiescie". The buildings are mostly 4/5 floors tall and european in style but with minimalist emptiness and aloofness specific to eastern Europe. ;-). The area is good for walking around and getting a feel of the city but it is not as busy as city centre. In an immediate vicinity there is a medium size city park "Slonimskiego Square", "Iluzjon" independent cinema (they screen movies with english subtitles), "Jednorozec" best ice cream in Warsaw, bakery and couple of grocery stores. 15 minutes walk away is my favourite kebab in Warsaw "KuraWarzyw", it is not a classic one but rather creative variation with habenero, mint sauce etc. This apartment is located 10 minutes walk from two tram lines, subway station and bus stops. Travel time to the central point of the city including the walking time is about 20 minutes. Old Mokotow estate is about 6 blocks wide and located between two major roads al. Niepodległości and ul Puławska. Both of those streets have trams and buses, additionally there is subway under al. Niepodleglosci. Once You get to subway station it is only two stops away from the city center.
