We are open minded, creative family and spend most of our free time cooking healthy meals, hiking in the countryside and playing or listening to music. We like meeting people and learn about their lifestyle. We have about 5 years experiences with hosting volunteers via Workaway platform and got many positive feedbacks from them. After moving into a new house we decided to offer the upper floor for travellers who come to Slovenia to discover its capital as well as other famous or hidden places in Slovenia.

Our property is open for travellers who come to Slovenia to experience the capital city Ljubljana, its surroundings and other towns and sights in Slovenia. But as well we offer a stay for people who need a quiet night after a working day in Ljubljana. We’d like to make our home a Happy place for all our visitors who would like to get in touch with locals in order to know Slovenia better that way. If you wish, we can recommend you to visit some Slovenian sights or hidden places. We want to offer you an unique experience in our accommondation. To enjoy your stay to the fullest, we recommend to try our breakfast including homemade spreads und vegan/ vegetarian options as you wish. (gluten-free is also available) We have capacity for 5 guests (two rooms). There is one shared bathroom, a living room and a guest kitchen in the upper floor. In case you are a family or the group of 5 people knowing each other you will be able to use our property as an apartment. In case you only book one of our rooms, you will have the oportunity to live and share experience with other people (hostel style). There are some books available to read and share, board games to play and a guitar to sing and play. As mentioned, we are offering vegan/vegetarien breakfast, but fell free to cook and eat in our guest kitchen as you prefer.

Neighborhood info

The neighbourhood is rural, quiet, surrounded by beautiful nature, plenty of green grass fields and mountains. There are only about 50 houses in the village. There are lots of walking tracks around the village, as well as famous Iški Vintgar canyon, the pile dwellers settlement at Ljubljansko Barje and the area of Ljubljana Marsh Nature Park with its biodiversity. At the same time the Ljubljana centre is not far away and it's reachable by local busses.
