The apartment has two bedrooms, one with a king bed and the other one with a king bed and a bunk bed. Both rooms have private bathroom. Everything is completely new, including the mattresses, beds, linen and closets. In both rooms you also have TV and room for two people also has a small balcony. You also get wifi, SmartTV and AC. The rooms share a tea kitchen, that is completely new and is fully supplied with dishes, cookware and also has microwave, if you wish to prepare breakfast, a coffee or a tea.
Hi! We are Tanja and Dejan, we are parents of two adult sons. We will be glad to host in our home in Podgrad, old village on the road from Kozina to Starod. Those who are searching for a quiet and peaceful place to relax will enjoy our location. i'm looking forward to meeting you. Location is great. It is right on the main road (Kozina – Starod) that leads to Croatia. 10 min away is a bigger city, called Ilirska Bistrica. If you like biking this is the perfect place as there are many roads perfect for that. You can also hike or explore the surroundings that Podgrad has to offer. We are also really close to Postojna cave, Škocjan caves and Lipica. The sea is 30km away and Croatian border 5km. 50m from the house is pharmacy and medical centre, 100m away you can find grocery store, bank, post office and a restaurant. There is also the last gas station before crossing the border to Croatia.
In the forest below the highest mountain out of slovenian alps called Snežnik is home of the largest animal that you can find on our continent, BROWN BEAR. With all respect to these animals and nature you can go and visit this beautiful beast with professional guide and hunters who would lead you to your lifetime experience. Your guide can pick you up at our place but if you want to organize your trip by yourself the start point is in town called Pivka which is stationed 29km (30min) drive from our place. The unspoilt nature surrounding us offers many possibilities for cycling and hiking trips. For cyclists, there are several thematic routes and touring paths along the Snežnik forests. Upon advance reservation we offer a rental of regular mountain bike or e-bike and cycling tours with an experienced cycling guide. We also offer a garage for your bike and other equipment if you have your own one. Hikers can enjoy hike to Snežnik, Žabnik, Kozlek, Milanja, Ahac and Sv. Katarina. At your request you can be accompanied by a guide. For all who love running and walking there is a lot of tracks in the flowering Karst meadows surrounding Podgrad.
