I stayed in 4 different hotels in Pai & this was by far the nicest, a good all rounder. The lovely lady at the front desk didn’t speak a huge amount of English but not an issue checking in or out, thank you.

Really cute rooms however I found them to be a bit pricey for what they were. We didn’t have air con in the room and it was still more than we paid anywhere else in Thailand. The pool wasn’t open on our first day which was a shame because it was a big selling point for us however otherwise no issues, staff were lovely!

The rooms were so clean and spacious, with great air con. The pool was beautiful, clean and so refreshing! The location was perfect, just a short 7 min walk to the walking street. Plenty of places nearby to rent scooters, which is a must in Pai. Couldn’t recommend more! Made our stay.

We love Pai, it has a lot of back packers there who seem to love Tubing, we just enjoy the quite time spent there. We always stay at The Quarter which has a great pool, decent breakfast and is very close to walking street. Night time it gets busy with lots of people around walking the street and eating from the many food stalls in the walking street. There is also an abundance of wonderful authentic Northern Thai restaurants that are cheap. Not a fan of the constant smell of 'weed' everywhere you go, but it is a small price to pay for a nice stay. I would not stay more than 2-3 nights. The trip up there is around 3-3.5 hours and we have given away with the buses as I think they are too dangerous with the winding roads and people who overtake on corners. We hired a driver from Chiang Mai and the round trip in a very comfortable electric car was 3,300BHT, well worth it.

For younger backpacker how wants to make party it is right area. When you want to make Expedition this area is not so nice. You can make pai canyon, visit big cave and big buddha bit i think thats it. No grab so most time you need Scooter and most people in europe have no motorbike licence and without that you should not Drive because when you have a accident no insirance and then you have a big Problem. I think i don't come again...
Every evening night market with very very much young people much also alcoholism and smoke drugs..
I don't enjoy Pai

Lovely little village with plenty of dining options.
Lovely little village with plenty of dining options. It’s a little hippyish but really lovely vibe. A few late night bars if you want to party but a lot of restaurants close around 11. Lots of street food available partly to fuel the munchies with lots of canabis shops. Found a great Italian wine bar ( witching well) as well as great Thai restaurants. The walking street can be covered in about 20 minutes and feels very safe and comfortable. Plenty of small hotels to walk into and book a room as well. The journey from chaing mai takes about 3 hours and the last two hours are on steep winding roads so don’t skimp on your transport and go with a private driver for comfort or ask your hotel to arrange. It should be around 3,000 bht each way (€75)

Pai is a small town with lots of restaurants.
Pai is a small town with lots of restaurants. We stayed a day here as part of our 4 days MHS loop and so not able to fully enjoy Pai.
We missed out on Sai Ngam and so visited Tha Pai Hot spring on our way back to Chiangmai. Many level of hotness in a natural environment, stones in the pool make walking a bit difficult. We settled on pool at 33 degree - just 5 of us in the pool so is not crowded. Spent about an hour here. Initially the water felt too hot, but we got used to it after a while. Clean toilet & shower with hot water, facility is adequate. We got bitten quite a bit - itchy after a couple of hours even after we reached home.
The white Buddha up the hill is beautiful, many steps to the top - you are rewarded with beautiful sunset & 360 view of the surrounding. Kind of hot up there while waiting for sunset.

I stayed in Pai at Peace of Love for five months; I'm a retired perpetual tourist. Pai really helped me recover from the setbacks of COVID. It is a touristy town, but with palpable chill and super sweet people. Food and beverages were Uber good and cheapest in Thailand, I think. I certainly look forward to another visit if life permits. Loved the two sweet ladies at Joy's restaurant who showered me with good food and gracious service. I also love Papa at Papa's Peddles who rented me a good bike for a dollar per day. Peace of Love and Pai worked wonderfully for me.

A small town in a mountainous area surrounded by an amazing landscape and you can walk in the area for several days and enjoy all the surrounding green nature, recommended for couples and less for families with children mainly because of the long drive from Chiang Mai on a very winding road that is difficult for children to accommodate.
This was such a nice stay after a few cheaper accomodations and already settling into pai. the room is spacious, aircon worked perfectly (best aircon yet in Thailand), the facilities were amazing. staff are so helpful and willing to attend to anything. Yoga on site. staff are good with arranging pick up/drop off.
it is a quick 2 minute drive into town- if you have your own scooter it’s perfect otherwise they offer drop of and picks up as you need as well! loved my stay here
We were delighted with our stay at Soi One Boutique. The room was so beautiful, the bathroom, huge, and we so enjoyed our little outdoor patio. We were in the heart of all the activity with a wonderful restaurant and bar right next door to the property. We were steps away from the Pai River. It was such a unique experience to walk across the bamboo bridge and take in the mountainous scenery around us. Our hotel room was clean, and the staff very accommodating.
Hotel owner is the best I came across so far ! He is very sweet and helpful. He likes to share his food and tried to make my stay very comfortable. He is very caring. I liked our conversations in the common area we had every day. He has delicious teas and fruits from his garden. Hotel has a very beautiful view looking at the rice fields and very peaceful atmosphere. It was very chill environment . I loved here so much !! Recommending highly !
Exceptional stay ❤️ The place was immaculately clean like brand new ( not something we’ve seen till now in thailand ) and the bed was like sleeping on a cloud. The staff were so lovely waiting for us to check in to welcome us since we got delayed due to the bus and were also so helpful, friendly, welcoming & happy to help us out in sorting some flight issues. The location also feels like heaven so calming and relaxing. Overall perfect 10/10
Countryside Pai Resort exceeded my expectations, and Joa, in particular, made my experience truly exceptional. Joa stands out as the most kind hotel staff I've ever encountered in Thailand. The resort's serene ambiance combined with Joa's exceptional hospitality created a memorable stay. I highly recommend Countryside Pai Resort for its warm service and inviting atmosphere, making it an ideal choice for a relaxing getaway
We had an amazing stay and actually extended because we felt so welcome.
The room is well equipped and clean, the BEST breakfast in all Thailand and the family is super friendly. It's also really close to the walking street but still in a quiet area, so got good sleep.
Wifi is incredible.
Bonus point is also that the restaurant on property is a pizza place.
This was the highlight of our trip. Staying at this resort was a pleasure. The host is super friendly, helpful, and the nicest people that I met in Thailand. The price is very cheap. If you want get some fresh air, back to nature, this is a must place to stay. The Thanos dog is supeeerrr cute. I will definitely comeback next time I visit Pai
great location for walking street and bus stop.
5 minute walk so was still quiet from busy street.
Great room, lovely decor.
Great feel around the pool, sun beds were comfortable.
maid was lovely and cleaned the room on request
best breakfast we’ve had in Thailand
shower room was lovely with powerful shower
The beauty of the hotel is outstanding. Romantic and perfect for a honeymoon. Far from all the noise and yet very close. A nice driver took us from the hotel to the main street whenever we needed. The welcome was great and kind. Every time we asked for something extra it was taken care of quickly.
Great location great staff and a great time I’ve stayed in k bunk Ao Nang and had a great time there k bunk pai did not disappoint kept extending my stay such a good hostel made to feel welcome as soon as a arrived thank you to Kane who was a great help when looking at things to do in and around pai
1. Really nice & deep pool.
2. Not perfect, but quite a good breakfast buffet considering we paid 1400 per night.
3. Very good and helpful staff.
4. Excellent value for the price.
5. Central heating system with very strong water pressure, making the shower amazing. This is a rarity in Thailand.
The breakfast at family zen house was an incredible aspect of our stay. The menu is big and the food is so fresh and delicious. The staff was friendly and fast and made sure that all customers felt happy and fed. We ate here all 4 days of our stay. Best coffee we had in Thailand!
Amazing hotel with attention to details in managing confortable stay.
Tiny house is cute and bed is very comfortable.
Housekeeping did a very good job and they did turndown service at the end of the day.
Breakfast is great and the dinner at the blue ox made the best steak ever.
Good location by the Main Street. Great pool and green spaces. The hotel and the room looked like the pictures. Not the best Wi-Fi in the room as it would drop constantly. Good Wi-Fi by the pool and in green space that had hammocks.
I would stay here again!
One of the best breakfast we have had in Thailand - it’s cooked for you on the spot! The staff was also super sweet and you basically fell into the Pai walking street when stepping outside. Room was clean and good but we had some issues (see below).
This place is so very beautiful and the best place I’ve ever stayed in my many trips to Thailand . It’s so pretty and calm and peaceful and the owners are really kind, helpful, gentle natured people. It’s a magical place !
The breakfast buffet was one of the nicest buffets i have had in Thailand. Food at this hotel is so good I had lunch here also after a long travel day. The staff is so pleasant,
This was the fanciest room we stayed in during our trip to Thailand. The fridge was really useful. Great location. Cute cafe by the river. Breakfast included.
