Zanzibar Culture House is a beautifully decorated big and spacious two bedroom house right in the heart of UNESCO heritage Stone Town area. The house is located next to the Vice President’s office and just across it is the much known Culture Taarab House where local artists come to learn, play traditional musical instruments and sing the local Taarab music. The house has been furnished and decorated using modern and local Swahili culture handicrafts. As you enter the house on either side is a long spacious corridor with seating area to enjoy the day and evening breeze. The living room is spacious and has comfortable seating. Each room is private and spacious enough with it’s own bathroom and toilet. Adjacent to the living lounge area is the kitchen which comes fully equipped with necessary facilities. The house is situated in such great location making it easily accessible by foot to all places like, Forodhani with it’s night street food market, the beach, curio shops, cafes, restaurants and so much more are all just around the corner.

Stone Town is a Unesco Heritage area which has history dating back hundreds of years. The local Swahili and Arab culture is very much preserved and can be seen visually from the decor of the house ie doors and alleyways. Stone Town area is steep in culture and history dating back to the Arab slave trade in East Africa. The house is situated in great location whereby, all amenities like shops, restaurants, street food stalls, cafes, curio shops, historical sites and the beautiful turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean are only a stone throw away.
