The location is perfect, the food is amazing, the people working there are very kind and professional, everything is clean and beautiful. I had some personal misfortune during my stay, but I got fantastic help by Godfrey who is the best imaginable manager, and I will always be grateful how he helped me to handle my situation. I hope the owners read this and give him a raise :) we stayed in three different places in Zanzibar and this was without doubt the best! My son didn’t want to leave! A special thanks also to the Masai guys who made my son’s stay magical :)

It was a tropical paradise, close to the beach and to the road, but no noise and so beautiful. We had a lovely time talking to Agustin, who was so helpful and interesting! It was a new hotel, so it had no ratings when we booked, so that felt like a risk, but we were so happy we made the jump!

This place is exceptional, it has a peaceful feel and relaxing vibe. My kids really enjoyed building sand castles and playing board games at the restaurant, and yes they provides the games (Us parents) got to eat in Peace and for that I give this property my applause because I have a wild 2 years old girl, there are 3 pools and so much space to enjoy. You can also get a massage on site.

The area is not bad.
The area is not bad. Beside the neighboring village there are mainly resorts and hotels in this area, so not much population and traffic like in the city. Very peaceful for proper restful vacation. It’s very easy to get around Pingwe, with rent a car. The road to Pingwe is a little bit with holes but they were fixing them around that time. Things to do is visiting Jozani forest and natural aquarium which is very close, where you can see the monkeys and the turtles as well as the mangrove. Paje is minutes away, where you can have a cold savana on the rooftop.

Hardly anyone had heard of Pingwe in Stone Town, they all...
Hardly anyone had heard of Pingwe in Stone Town, they all thought I meant Pongwe. This is because it seems Pingwe is more of an up and coming area. The beaches are beautiful, it's lovely and quiet, hassle is at a minimum, there is a lovely breeze and the views are fantastic. I highly recommend Pingwe for your next trip to Zanzibar.

It's lovely on that side of the island, but not exactly a swimming beach as too many rocks and sea urchins. Paje, further down is a lovely swimming beach and popular with kite surfers. Sunset Beach, past Pingwe, is a lovely beach for swimming and watching the sunsets at the beach bar!

The family running the hotel has made a space you feel at home, relaxing, and cozy. The staff is very friendly. The food is great. The place is great to stay with friends and family. The green lush garden near the rooms does give great privacy and at the same time restaurant and pool zones are well connected. Great place to come for dinner from outside as well.

We liked the location, although Pingwe is not that populated, it was beach front and the beach was not crowded at all. Walking distance to The Rock restaurant. The rooms were nice and everyday they sprayed for mosquitoes which was amazing. Also they changed the towels and sheets everyday and the girls from housekeeping were very nice.

This was a huge property along with their smaller property called Amani Boutique Hotel. Because of their distance from the airport the transportation fees could be a bit higher but this place has it all. From the company that does scuba to all your other tours. Excellent food. Bathrooms could be a better but that’s nothing.

Great locaton and hotel. Nice and friendly staff who are helpful. Breakfast was very good with lots of selections. Beach was 20 meters away from hotel and at low tide very nice possibilites to see starfish. The took time to decorate the room with flowers and leaves when I arrived which was very nice.
