The suite was very comfortable and clean with everything you need (good shower, fridge, lots of space) and a great view and balcony area overlooking Lake Victoria. We really enjoyed the bar and terrace area where we played games, had drinks and had a nice breakfast both days. The staff were very friendly and David the host was very accommodating, joining us for games and drinks! There is also a sheet with many activities to do in Jinja along with numbers to arrange, which we found very helpful.

Great amenities, location, food and bed. Was very impressed about how much care has been put in the accommodation. The host was very nice to us and gave us great local tips too.

Situated in Jinja, on the banks of the River Nile, Jinja Nile Resort is set on over 30 acres of landscaped gardens. This property features free WiFi and an outdoor swimming pool.

Dinner: we are vegetarians, had emailed and during order we had specificly ordered vegetarian sandwich but we're given chicken sandwich. No hot water in one of the rooms. We notified reception at night but they forgot to inform the concerned. In the morning we informed again but nothing was done, checked put with cold shower... All they did was apologise. They had 3 hours to sort something out before my checkout. I was offered a 10% discount - really?

    Great place, family owned, cute clean place for a reasonable cost. Wifi was good but but would have been better to be a mesh with a single SSID rather than have to keep selecting the zone you were in to connect to at the moment Shower temperature controls virtually impossible to set desired temp as it kept changing

    The new bridge structure near the Source of the Nile River...

    The new bridge structure near the Source of the Nile River looks very good. There are several activities to do in Jinja if you have enough time such as: Touring the Source of the Nile, Hiking, Sugar Cane factory, walking around the hotel strip, go to Bujagali which is closer to the source of the Nile, and while there check out the Cave too.

    I love the laid back vibe of Jinja city, friendly people.

    I love the laid back vibe of Jinja city, friendly people. It is also easy to get around, safely. Jinja has many restaurants offering multicultural cuisines, nice bars and night clubs. The town is full of interesting old historic buildings, some going back as far as 1901, and of course the world re-known Source of the Nile. For the thrill seekers there is whitewater rafting at Bujagali, and for the gourmands there are tasty dishes from around the world, and delicious Ugandan dishes from all over Uganda to sample. All in all, Jinja is a lovely city in Uganda one can visit again, and again.

    Jinja is a great town in Uganda.

    Jinja is a great town in Uganda. Plenty of water activities, no traffic issues like Kampala and nice people. I would not recommend Nile Village Hotel. Plenty of other, more reliable places to stay.

    Jinja itself is quite dirty compared to other places I've been to. It was my first time in Uganda and it truly is a 3rd world country. I didn't know what to expect. The homestay was nice but the description was not the same room we'd booked. It said it had 4 beds. It had 2. It said it had AC. It had a fan. It said the bathroom was en suite. It was shared. The electricity was shoddy at best. The garden is lovely and the hostess was very polite and kind but the simple fact is they made us leave after 2 days even tho we had a 7 day booking which was confirmed. We said we'd try and look for somewhere else with a private bathroom. They took this as we wanted to cancel, which we'd never said. A major misunderstanding which led to us being fleeced at the next places we booked.
