The employees were really nice, as I head a injury I needed to cool my leg regularly so they changed the room to a closer one to the ice machine. The room was clean and spacious and had everything you need. Just down to the street is a Trolley station and over street is the Laundromat, some nice restaurants and a bakery.
For PCT Hikers there is also a hiker box in the office.

Breakfast is good. Thank god the windows opened, because our AC didn't work and even when it was set (yes, we made sure it was set correctly), the heat kept turning on. The showers had hot water, and the towels didn't smell weird -- so that goes in the win column.

It did not feel like a hostel, more like someone’s home. Location was perfect walking distance from the village. Plenty of free parking and quiet.

Very comfortable, clean and beautiful rooms! The hotel is located in a very picturesque location overlooking the mountains, there are many amenities on site, including a swimming pool, sauna, parking, etc. The staff is very friendly and helpful, we will definitely come back!
Beautiful mountains and lakes. Perfect for a whole range of outdoor activities. Town itself has some good restaurants, coffee shops, breweries, accommodations that are centrally located. No sprawl or congestion.

I don't ski, so visiting here on the shoulder season is great. There are many hikes and stunning natural beauty all around. We did some easy hikes around Lake Mary and the Twin Lakes area. I hadn't adequately accounted for the effect that the elevation (8400') would have on my (old) cardio system, so we stuck with hikes that were relatively short and level. Since I had my small dog with me, we were somewhat limited in restaurants, but Mammoth Brewing had both great beer and good food (recommend the Birria Taco).

Mammoth looks good in the pictures, but the restaurant choices are very limited, and there are no Doordash type services available anywhere on the mountain. You literally couldn't even get a pizza delivered. If you're traveling with a family, I would go somewhere else - this is not a family friendly place.

Mammoth Lakes is mainly for skiers during the winter but could be a great destination for families with kids too. There's a lot of areas where you can just pull over and sled with your kid. Wooly's Adventure Summit also just opened their Mountain Coaster ride which is so much fun.
One thing I would highly recommend is booking your attraction tickets in advance because the line to buy the tickets can be very long.

Best Western Properties have changed in Mammoth Lakes.
Best Western Properties have changed in Mammoth Lakes. This one was not familiar to me, and the one with which I was familiar is no longer a Best Western property.
The room itself was fine, clean, albeit a little odd in it's elongated arrangement (kind of like a train car).
However, the lack of an elevator, the many flights of stairs to access 2nd floor room, the creaky locks on the (apparently) old door fixtures (I had to ask for help to get OUT of the hotel!to the rear parking lot), and the general appearance, arrangement of the place are why I chose 3 stars.
The breakfast room and its attendant were fine. The housekeepers were cheerful and helpful.
Oh sorry! I thought this was a review for Best Western!!!

In Summer, Mammoth has a lot to offer if you are into trails, seeing stunning lakes and waterfalls, doing various adrenalin activities like mountain biking or wakeboarding.
We ran out of time to do everything (I would've liked to have gone to Brodie), but can recommend the trail from Devils Postpile to Rainbow Falls which was truly spectacular. It's also worth viewing the lakes at sunrise or sunset to get a different perspective of the landscape. Finally, a trip on the gondola was good fun with great hot chocolates served at the summit!
We traveled during the summer and the property was in a great location. When checking out the front desk staff was so great and even stored our bags while we went for breakfast. Had we had the same person for check in I would have given the staff an excellent. We absolutely love the size of the beds in the bedroom as it allows for us to get just one room for our family. We have 6 total so the room with a queen and full with a king was great! We wish more hotels did this.
Condo was well equipped with kitchen supplies and bedding, i.e. extra blankets and pillows. The location to the village was great, which made it very convenient to get to the mountain. The location of the jacuzzi to the condo was great. The amount of firewood provided was great, there was plenty to keep the fire going during my whole stay. The layout of the condo was very good and comfortable. Very cozy place.
This hotel is very stylish with beautiful and spacious rooms, with a fantastic and well equipped kitchen, lovely lounge area, scenic balcony and comfortable bedroom. Mammoth Lakes is a VERY expensive area so Juniper Springs Resort is reasonably priced for its location. Staff are very friendly and helpful with great inside knowledge. On-site pool & BBQs for guests to use were a nice touch.
We only arrived here in the evening and had to leave at 7am the next day but the hotel and staff seemed lovely from our brief impressions. We'd definitely spend longer in this area in future. Mono Lake is beautiful and worth visiting at sunset and it looks like the hotel is very conveniently located next to lots of other very interesting things.
Excellent value, clean room, very friendly staff, cozy lobby area, included breakfast, great location near restaurants and cafe. Comfortable bed. A nice, privately owned hotel. Not a luxury experience, but a very solid option for travelers on a budget. Also, I loved the old school Mario Lanza era music playing at breakfast.
loved the location and cleanliness of the facility. We had been camping and fishing in Mammoth Lakes for a week and it was lovely to stay in a hotel before the long drive home. The jacuzzi was really nice too. Wish the water temperature wasn't so hot, but then it'd be more like a pool. Kids loved staying here.
The location was the best aspect of the stay. Its really close to everything. Also a big thing was no hidden fees like most of the other hotels in the area. Quiet with Comfortable beds.
The check in was pleasant, the staff was friendly and helpful ( checked in in the afternoon). It’s a pet friendly hotel, no extra charge for it which is great.
Free parking.
