Built in 1886, rescued by Historic Savannah Foundation in 1983 and reintroduced to Savannah as the 1984 Designer Show House, this inn reflects the spirit of Savannah. The architectural details original to the home have been maintained and enhanced. Various sun porches and courtyard provide guests with a cozy outdoor atmosphere even in cooler weather. Guest rooms all include a private bathroom and focus on creating a comfortable guest experience.
When you arrive you’ll feel welcomed like you’re visiting friends; and when you leave you’ll feel like you’ve been with family. Our attitude is we just like having lots of company. The Catherine Ward House Inn family makes your experience at the Inn seem the essence of Savannah!
The Catherine Ward House is located on a quiet street in the Victorian District, steps away from the Historic District’s south border. A walk through the Historic District is only one mile beginning at Forsyth Park and ending at the Savannah River. You will stroll through multiple parks and almost 300 years of history. Ours is a residential neighborhood with free parking, tennis courts, grocery store, pharmacy, restaurants, coffee house with emphasis on vegetarian treats, European wine shop, and health food store. We’re only ½ block from Forsyth Park home to many enduring events including: o Saturday Farmers’ Market o Concerts in the Park o Book Festivals o Jewish Food Festival o Annual Running Events o St. Patrick’s Day Parade Staging Area
