Lea & I are a very young '50 something' couple' with 2 adult children and 3 grandchildren. We are seasoned travellers, spending 10 weeks a year travelling and visting 34 countries so far - Vietnam and Cambodia are next and planned for September 2016. We enjoy a variation of Culture & Old World, hence trips to Europe & China as well as the adventure stuff like a 4x4 Camping trip to Botswana with Lions around our tent at night. When at home, Beachwalk is our pride and joy, giving us the opportunity to meet interesting folk from around the world, many of whom have become our friends and tour guides to their cities when we get a chance to visit their countries. After hours, quiet time at home or rowdy nights out with our friends keep us entertained when our guests don't.

Property info

Beachwalk is a lovely old renovated Heritage home with only four owners in it's 86 year history. It was built in 1930 and when re-sold in 1935 was considered 'too far from town' and was sold for less than it's build price. Today, 80 years later, it occupies absolute prime position in the upmarket beachfront suburb of Summerstrand, less than 100 metres from the Blue Flag Hobie Beach and 150 metres from the Boardwalk Casino & Entertaiment Complex, whilst still less than 10 minutes drive from the airport! As Lea & I are experienced travellers ourselves, venturing overseas every year (34 countries so far) and spending a month travelling in Africa each year as well, we know what our expectations are. We therefore strive to deliver the same level of comfort, service and hospitality to our guests as we would expect from our hosts, so please feel free to enquire about or share any information or stories you may have or want to know. For us, this is not a job, it is a daily pleasure and as such we look forward to meeting and sharing experiences with you. Kind regards Cliff Hanks

Summerstrand, Port Elizabeth's upmarket, beachfront suburb, has been voted the 'suburb to live in in South Africa" for three out of the last five years. Together with the adjacent suburb, Humewood, it is home to Port Elizabeth's three Blue Flag beaches, all the major hotels and well over half of Port Elizabeth's B&B's and Guest Houses, not to mention restaurants and bars. All of this, less than 10 minutes from the airport and less than an hour from Addo .... what more could you want?
