Once we found it, it was lovely. Driving through the town was interesting- definitely a local destination. It was a little confusing- the building is one of many in the gated community and our Portuguese is very poor but somehow we found it based on the photos! If you dont have command of the language and poor cell service- make sure you arrive in the day light!! Once there, the person who settled us in Gabriel, was nice as can be and answered any questions we had. We (driving is necessary) went to town for a bite and brought some snacks to eat while hanging out at the pool and had a lovely time chatting with a brazilian family traveling from the north. The breakfast was delicious, great coffee and fruits… and then we were on our way. Muito Obrigado, Gabriel!!

We have visited Vilangelim many times and are always happy with our stay. The grounds and facilities are lush, beautiful and well conceived, preserving the tropical setting and vegetation. Loved it all. Specially the breakfast. Oh boy.
