Set in West Meon, The Thomas Lord is an award-winning premium village inn serving locally sourced produce on its modern British menu and a selection of ales, fine wines and seasonal cocktails in the bar, plus a beautiful landscaped large pub garden. There is free Wi-Fi throughout the property and free parking. We liked that there were no steps into accommodation and there was a shower rather than a bath and tea making facilities in the room. There were seats and table outside and chairs inside. Although next to the pub there was no noise nuisance or interference from pub visitors. A good choice of breakfast was given in the pub and there was the option to eat other meals and teas in the pub. Excellent location for the South Downs.

Everything was clean and well cared for. I especially loved coming back from a long day out and about and having access to tea, coffee, and water that we could bring back up the room and relax with. The pub next door was such a great perk! The atmosphere was cozy and inviting.

We absolutely loved the authentic charm of the Westgate Hotel. The building has that old English character we adore, but everything inside is clean, tastefully renovated, and very comfortable. Our room had a stunning view, a wonderfully soft bed, and a warm atmosphere. Despite being above a pub, it wasn’t too noisy at all — in fact, having the pub just downstairs made everything so easy and enjoyable. Breakfast was generous and delicious, and the location is ideal for exploring beautiful Winchester. But what really made our stay exceptional was the staff: kind, attentive, full of good humour, and always ready to help or chat. They really added to the warm and friendly vibe of the place.

The stay in the beautiful rooms of Innkeepers was very good, which cannot be said for the meal at The White Hart pub/restaurant.
Historic Inn. Breakfast was excellent with some interesting options. There was a fish and chips dinner. High cooking standards. Room clean and plenty of space. Central location on High Street.
Friendly staff, historic inn
Lovely historic inn that’s been lovingly restored. A great stay.
Fantastic location opposite the beach and close to close to lovely pub for dinner. Very friendly family run guest house
it is a lovely, historic Inn. Proper “inn” style where you arrive into the bar and the rooms are at the back. The food is excellent - great British basics like steak and ale pie! The staff are really friendly and kind. The rooms are comfortable and quiet and the location is the heart of historic Hampshire with beautiful countryside and many walks and attractions around. I would definitely recommend the Winchfield Inn as a cosy, down to earth base for exploring the area. it’s very good value for money.
