Set in Rantasalmi, 32 km from Kartano Golf Club, Kuru Resort offers accommodation with a terrace, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. This was probably the most beautiful place I’ve ever been. Villas by the lake are so lovely, we have enjoyed it so much that this is the first time we didn’t want to leave the accomodation. Breakfast they bring you is also lovely, the staff is lovely, you can try yoga or siesta classes… Dinner in Solitairy restaurant was an amazing experience. 10/10

It offers individually decorated rooms with scenic views and free wired internet.... fabulous-Christina, the owner, was amazing and it is the perfect spot for each to spend a couple of days exploring Savonlinna

These cottages are located within 7 minutes’ drive of Savonranta town centre and Lekotti Ski Centre. We really liked everything. The lake looks great and the cottage is super nice.

Situated by the Lakes of Kaitajärvi and Kilpijärvi, Villa Kaidan Kunkku are 5 km from central Ristiina. The villas have private saunas, furnished terraces and bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. First of all a big thanks to our great hosts! We traveled to Finland over the New Year and spent a week at the villa. The villa itself is great, it is spacious for 7 people and has a well equipped kitchen for making your own food. The sauna, most likely one of the most important aspects of you are visiting in winter, is great and you can go both with traditional wood heated or convenient electrically heated. The wood stove in the living room is also really cozy and we also enjoyed the amplifier speaker setup, which can also be used at slightly higher volumes as house is in the woods with no neighbors to see close by. Which brings us to the next major plus point. The surrounding landscape is beautiful in the winter (and I would assume in the summer as well). As advertised there is a lake right next to it and we enjoyed a lots of ice bathing while there, in a small ice hole on the lake. Except from that hole tue lake was fully walkable when frozen except for inlets and outlets and some other ice holes. Which really gives out the possibility to do some nice walks, and if you rent snow shoes or have the right skis you can also go of road and see some amazing sights. We hit a could snap while we were there, and at temperatures close to -30 C some of the bedrooms got a little chilly which can easily be remidied by keeping the doors to the living room open. Also, as we were told, temperatures only dip down that for every couple of years. So for us it really was an adventure and we loved it. Leena and Esko were really nice hosts, pointed is towards the right places to go (you need a car), and with a supermarket a close drive by and Mikkeli about twenty minutes driving if we could find everything we needed. We can thus wholeheartedly recommend the Villa and wish all the best to Leena and Esko, and hope to get a chance to return for another visit sometime in the future.
