My wife and I stayed at The Russell Boutique during our honeymoon and had a lovely experience. The staff went out of their way to make our stay feel special, including a nice gesture of two complimentary drinks and a handwritten postcard (for our honeymoon). The food exceeded our expectation. We also really appreciated the 11:00 check-out time, which made the departure more relaxed. The bar below the hotel is a great spot to spend some time at, and the location is excellent - the city centre is very close and easy to reach on foot.

We stayed at the Rendezvous for 4 nights, had a studio apartment on the 4th floor, room 412. Having kitchen facilities made the stay great. We had a balcony with a view of the Bridge and the Opera House. Cruise liners berthed out side our window, almost, had great views of the Cunard Queen Mary 2. Great location for exploring the Rocks and Circle Quay area, trams stopping very close to. Every evening the large flying foxes (fruit bats) can be seen flying around and roosting in the trees out side of the hotel, a great sight. A must for a drink and a meal is the oldest pub in Sydney, the Fortune of War, and the Orient Pub both very close by. We enjoyed our stay and can recommend the Rendezvous thank you all 👍

We stayed at the Sofitel Hotel in Circular Quay and had...

We stayed at the Sofitel Hotel in Circular Quay and had amazing views of the Quay. In the daytime we would have a very pleasant walk around the Quay and along the coastline which led us to Sydney harbour, where we could easily hop onto a boat to visit other places like Manly beach. During the evenings we would visit the many lovely restaurant and bars around the Quay and admire the boats. It’s well worth a visit.

A must is the view from Circular Quay Railway station, its th best free view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Harbour and Opera House. (Local secret if you want an even better view) head towards the Oprah house as you get to the lsat ferry wharf under the Cahill express way you'll see a lift that looks like it goes nowhere, but it takes you up to the Cahill Expressway. from there you'll have 360 degree views of Sydney city, bridge and harbour.

Ferries, trains, trams, buses to anywhere you like. Download the public transport app to plan your trip. Oh and the bridge the opera house and if you're lucky one of those massive cruise ships will be in. They are like floating cities, quite a sight. There's usually some street entertainment in the area too.

It’s a bit of walking.

It’s a bit of walking. Especially if you are going to the opera house as well. So travel light. If you have small kids (or a tired Grandma) take one of those fold up beach trolleys ($75 from Kmart) those things are priceless when lugging kids and stuff around! (And tired Grandmas)

Everything is a stone throw from the Quay view Opera House, walk over Sydney Harbour Bridge, The Botanical Gardens, Lady Macquarie's Chair visit the historical Rocks have a beer in the oldest pubs in Sydney a few claim to be. Macquarie Street is a walk up the road there is an amazing amount of history in this street, the first signs from penal colony to a colony, might be best during the week where you can access some of the buildings. If none of that suits just sit and enjoy the worldof circular key coffee and watching the world go by

The Grace is superbly located. It's close to the main shopping precinct and a short walk to Darling Harbour and Circular Quay. The rooms are generous in size. Very clean and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. Bathroom was spacious with great water pressure. Check in was effortless.

Always has the best desks and rates. Close to my preferred tram stop, 2nd from circular quay ferry terminal. Good beds, bath, corner windows with view from 21st floor. Jacuzzi, pool, gym, steam room, sauna, happy hour, concierge, holding our luggage till room ready and after while we explored. I’ve been going 9years to this hotel and will return very soon for bday celebrations with me, friends and my son.

The room was simple, clean, and comfortable. The bathroom was quite large and clean. If you want to be in the middle of everything in Sydney, this is the place to be. 1 block away from Central Station, Trams "at the door", a short walk to China town. Not too far from Darling Harbour. Really easy to get to Circular Quay. Plenty of different foods all around. It had a good vibe.

I like the apartment. It was clean and suitable for me and my son. All our needs were met and attended to. The staff were very friendly too. It was only 10 minutes walk to Darling harbour as well as getting on the ferry to Circular Quay to see the famous Sydney Harbour Bridge, Opera House, trip to Manly Beach and Taronga Zoo.

Excellent location right at Circular Quay, with easy and quick access to trains, trams, and ferries. It's within walking distance of The Rocks Market and plenty of other shopping and dining options. The pub downstairs, known as the oldest pub in Sydney, has a fantastic atmosphere and featured great live music on Saturday night. Despite this, the room was surprisingly quiet and peaceful, so noise wasn't an issue. The hotel is nicely decorated, and the staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay.

Weekly train ticket is probably the cheaper option if you want to venture further afield than the CBD. However it is rather expensive and cost $84 for the weekly ticket, but this still was the cheaper option for us as we were visiting lots of places and we were only there for 4 days, so gave our ticket away to some others at the airport. The cost of staying in a hotel in the CBD was expensive as well. Wouldn't stay and dine in the CBD again because of the cost. We had dinner at one of the Circular Quay restaurants 'the Sydney Oyster Cove' and being a coeliac was excited to see gluten free on the menu, however my meal wasn't gluten free when it arrived just ruined the dining experience, especially considering the cost of the food and drinks.
