I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel — the location, the food, and especially the staff. I arrived early in the morning, but the manager still let me check in, which was a very nice gesture after a long journey. The breakfasts were excellent, and the service was top-notch. The Merchant Baku strikes the perfect balance of everything you’d want in a stay. Its location is unbeatable—right in the center, close to the Old Town, nightlife, cafés, and restaurants. The design is warm and eclectic, creating a refreshing atmosphere, while the rooms are impressively spacious and thoughtfully detailed (like the pillow menu for a better night’s sleep). The breakfast was excellent, with plenty of variety for vegetarians like me, and the extended breakfast hours (until 11 on weekdays and 12 on weekends) made it perfect for a laid-back holiday. What truly makes the difference is the staff—always smiling, genuine, and ready to help. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and I’d highly recommend it as a top choice in Baku.
