Rafael and his family showed us INCREDIBLE hospitality. His wife made dinner for us, and we were invited to their family member’s wedding. Hiked up to Alinja fortress. Tried the special lemons and walnut “jam” in Ordubad. Got a warm welcome from a local family as we walked through the village. They asked to take photos with us and gave us freshly made qutab with wild greens All delicious treats! Got a military escort to Gulustan tomb. We had the complete Nakhichevan experience during our short visit. We could not have asked for a better time.

This place is great. It's well located, with stores, cafes and museums within walking distance. Places further away in the city can easily be reached by Bolt for a couple €. You have everything you need - shower, washer, fridge, and breakfast. The owner was happy to organize us a two day tour for 250AZ, and that included airport transfer. We couldn't be happier. The price we paid for the room was very low, so it was well worth it.
