Hotels near Prospect Point Lighthouse, Vancouver

I visited The Westin Bayshore Vancouver from South Korea. I’ve always heard that Canada values diversity and equality even more than the U.S., so I had high expectations — and while most of my stay was wonderful, there was one disappointing experience during breakfast. On the second and third mornings, the same older blonde female server wearing a mask ignored our table even after confirming that the omelet was ours. She wasn’t particularly busy, just standing elsewhere, and this repeated behavior made us feel invisible — as if we were being treated differently because of our appearance. Since around 90% of guests throughout the hotel seemed to be Western, it felt like subtle discrimination, which was disappointing to experience in such a beautiful place. However, I truly want to express my gratitude to the other staff who were kind and attentive. One server kindly heated up the rice we brought and took our order with care, and a manager helped us find our way around the hotel and even checked how our stay was going — that meant a lot. The room was clean, the pool was great, and the scenery was stunning. Although I had one unpleasant moment, overall, we loved our stay and plan to return next month with my family. I just hope the hotel takes this feedback seriously and ensures all guests feel equally respected and welcomed.

It's the first time we stayed here. Everything is perfect. Bob and Komal are friendly, proactive, efficient, and professional. The room is clean, comfortable, and with so many wall outlets/USB ports 😄. Free parking and breakfast included, 6 minutes driving to Willowbrook Shopping Centre, T&T/Hannam Korean supermarkets. 5 🌟

Have stayed numerous times. It’s always a pleasure. Both night and morning staff are excellent.

Location in very good, a lot shops and restaurants here. Overall stay was good, bet was comfy, room was clean
