The room was spacious with the promised balcony and wonderful view of the lake. I wish we had had more time to enjoy it and all the options including pool and sauna and a walk along the lake. The breakfast spread was huge with the view of the lake. The city pass also provided lots of options/discounts -- something that we get from the high city taxes -- including to Chateau Chillon which is only 10 minutes away.

Wonderful location, easy to find. Unique, nice vibe, good breakfast. I liked the sort of "old school summer elegance" vibe, in the breakfast area I felt like Monsieur Poirot could be sitting across the room 😍😄 especially because these days, a lot of hotels look the same. Hotel du Port has soul. Very helpful, nice staff. Clean bathroom, good shower, quiet room. I slept really well.

Chillon Castle is really worth going to.

Chillon Castle is really worth going to. They give you a map which explains where in the Castle you are and what it was used for back in the day. They offer Senior Ticket Prices but also accept Discount Pass Cards that Hotel Splendid had given us which got us in for half price. Make sure you have plenty of time to explore this amazing Castle.

The Castel is a very interesting place to visit.

The Castel is a very interesting place to visit. Would definitely recommend it. You can catch the boat from Montreux and get off at the castle and catch the next boat to continue your trip on the lake

The apartment is on the 23rd floor and has a marvellous view of the lake from the balcony and every window. It is also close to cafes, restaurants, and supermarkets. Buses run in both directions in front of the apartment block an it is a short walk to the station so the apartment ix ideally situated for trips to towns along the lake, to Chillon castle, and even further afield. The lakefront is very beautiful and is very pleasant to walk along. We really enjoyed our stay in the apartment and would be very happy to stay there again.

Very friendly receptionist. Lift easily accessible for frequent use. Fantastic selection at breakfast for a budget hotel and great value for Switzerland. Fantastic colourful lakeside walk and free transport pass for two for the surrounding area. We were able to go from the lakeside to the top of the village and along the lake to Chillon Castle and beyond + as many other trips that we could have fitted in, all free.

It's an old house in an old manor, but for those who like classical architecture and decoration, it's a manor hotel worth visiting. It's near Chillon Castle. a 15-minute walk away. Good Breakfast and Dinner. Nice Staff.

I've read some negative reviews about the hotel, so I'm not sure — we were probably just lucky to get a really nice and clean room. It was on the third floor and had a view of Chillon Castle in the distance. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The location is amazing — just a three-minute walk to the casino and the seafront, and about 15 minutes on foot from the railway station.

This hotel is beyond perfect for Montreux as our room on the top floor was absolutely breathtaking. The views is very impressive and the bed comfortable. We loved the long bathtub and the 2 sinks . Yes the hotel is not fully renovated however this is why it is such great value. The rooms are beautiful and sitting on the balcony enjoying a sunset drink is without compare. The location is phenomenal for the Christmas markets and we walked to Chillon Castle as well. A must visit for everyone. The staff were friendly and helpful too

The staff here is the best! And the hostel is very nice and modern, right by the lake side. Good breakfast. Love the gender neutral facilities. Beautiful walk either to Montreux marketplace, or towards Chillon Castle. Territet train stop is very close and also the funicular up the hill. Really recommend this place!

It’s the best hotel in my long trip in Switzerland. Staffs are well trained, and facilities are well equipped. The most important thing, the view in the lake view room is so superior that I do not want even waste any minute outside my room. In addition, the hotel is close to the quay which had the boat heading for Chillon castle, and also very close to the train station of Montreux.

Convenient location, in close walking proximity to train station and bus stop to the Chillon Castle (Château de Chillon) is by its doorstep. Our room has a great view of the Lake of Geneva. The nice hotel manager offered us an early check-in at around 12noon (which is rare for European hotels that the check-in time is usually 3pm), especially important for us as it was raining heavily outside and we cannot go anywhere else. The breakfast was unexpectedly good (even the guy at egg station cooked very decently).
