You need some hours to get round it all! But its worth it.
You need some hours to get round it all! But its worth it. Great overview of Estonian culture through the years, as well as the Finno-Ugric permanent exhibition. I went home with a head completely full of interesting objects, people's stories through video and sound, curiosity over finno-ugric languages, amusement at some fun exhibits and you can even use your ticket to zap the digital information boards to "take home" the exhibit information, as well as to change the text to your preferred language! very cool system. The only sad thing was that the song exhibit bugged out while we were there and they had to turn it off before we could see it. The building is also very special, an old soviet airport. The cafe was ok and reasonably priced but nothing incredible. We did not look at the childrens activities but it seems there is something for them. There was a lot of nice ways to present the information and objects. We visited on a very quiet day so I dont know how it would be when busy. It was a 30 minute walk to the museum from the city centre, passing some old soviet aircraft fields and structures, but there are buses going there directly quite frequently I think.AGuest review byAnonymous
