Hotels near Les Combarelles, Sireuil

It is a cool quiet oasis in a lively little town. It is within easy - and pleasant- walking distance from the museums and restaurants and the Vezere path. Breakfast / evenings under the tall trees in the garden by the Beune, with birds and roses and a friendly cat was our favorite activity. Proprietors went out of their way to meet our needs.

I'm a light breakfast eater and a vegetarian so I find the breakfast pricing high in most hotels. However, it's worth the convenience of not having to leave the building on a relaxing morning, while on vacation. Along with the buffet of fruit, cereals, cheese, nuts, and healthy superfood condiments, juices, breads & croissant with jams available, thinly sliced meats for those who partake, you can order eggs hot from the kitchen. The atmosphere for breakfast was enhanced by relaxing classical music played softly. We had one dinner at the restaurant and it was lovely. The owners staff the front desk, act as concierge, cook for and serve in the restaurant. They were the best hosts, helping us acquire tickets, making phone calls (we're English speakers), and recommended how to make the most of our time. The staff even researched a Paris hotel for us, for our last few nights in France. Their service overall was that of friends helping friends have the best time in this magical area. There is convenient parking just across the two lane street. Hotel Cro Magnon is at the end of the main street through town, so it's in a calm setting without a lot of foot traffic going by. The Vezere River is across the street with a river walk trail and grassy areas and picnic tables. There is a train track that accommodates the small 2 car train that goes through town a few times a day, but not late into the evening. The hotel is excellently located to walk everywhere, including to many of the prehistory caves, and all of the shops and restaurants on the main road. Les Eyzies is ground zero for a prehistory experience. I experienced a palpable peace here, that is almost otherworldly. We only had 4 nights, and I wish I could have had another few weeks to explore and integrate this amazing area. If I had another opportunity to travel to France, this is where I would come.

The small Hotel Bien-Etre aux Cypress is a little gem. Beautifully situated in the small village of Marquay with a marvelous view. Very quiet. Our host Claude was wonderful to talk to and very helpful. Our king bed room was small but tastefully decorated, comfortable and clean. Great home base to explore the Perigueux.

This is a lovely property. The staff is attentive without being invasive. We only had the buffet breakfast for several mornings and it was delicious - enough to keep us fueled through dinner.

We did not take the breakfast- overpriced

This place is Heaven on Earth! It is off the beaten track but well worth it! There is so much to see and do in this area! The food is amazing!

In the middle of the country, you turn into the gate to find this beautiful manor home with its lush gardens, offering peace and calm. The owners are very friendly and helpful - fabulous customer service. The restaurant is spectacular. Absolutely delicious and very reasonable. Don’t miss it!

Modern comforts in an old building, wonderful renovation. Beautiful building and grounds.Comfortable rooms and beds! Very quiet area away from the village. You need a car to drive to the center.

Lovely place!! Beautifully situated away from town on a hill. It was very picturesque and peaceful. The owner and his family were very sweet, warm and friendly. Inspite of being busy at work, his wife, Fatima, too was so helpful. I would definitely recommend this place. Only advise is, its good to have own vehicle to comfortably see the whole fabulous region with its beautiful villages and towns. Thanks and good luck to the sweet family

Loved the property, restaurant outstanding, staff just totally amazing!!!!!

The hotel was an oasis of calm in the middle of a teeming tourist hotspot. The food in the restaurant was *amazing* and I would come back just for that

The property is nicely presented and decorated. The restaurant has a nice ambience, the meals and staff are excellent. There’s a pleasant sitting and bar area outside.

Great place, family run, which attracts locals into the bar as well as we tourists. We were visiting Lascaux but also found other places to visit (Chateau de Losse) nearby to visit. Lovely countryside to drive through. This was a great base, quieter than nearby Montignac.

Above and beyond should be the name of this establishment. The lodging, food, service and stay were impeccable and the host and hostess were wonderful.

The couple who run this hotel is just the sweetest you can find. In the bar area, there is a great collection of Armangnac from various years. If you ask for a Cognac, the owner will happily give you a lecture about why Armagnac is better, and guide you through the collection. Staying for severall nights and having the host present a new one every night, is just superb. Rooms are very clean. The garden and pool area are very well kept. The hotel is very quiet. The breakfast is continental, with no option for English breakfast. This is my second stay in this hotel. The hosts are like friends. It was really hard to leave this time. Absolutely recommended!

The breakfast was wonderful , enough food to last until dinner

The location, the staff (the woman at the reception was very kind and nice) and it was good value. For five, a little bit small, but it had all the necessary for our stay. The parking just in front of your room was great.

Convenient in town location with a place to store my bicycle. Simple meals and bar downstairs. Nice patio for eating and drinking. Secure place to store my bike

The beautiful room and restaurant, food and service!

Love this place so much we came back

Location in country setting & meals
