I'm loved the fixtures and different sections where you can worship. What a beautiful place to worship the lord. Awesome structure so sad it was burned. Glad I had the opportunity to experience it before it was destroyed.
We visit Notre Dame every visit. Last visit we were able to sit and enjoy a mass. Another time, we heard an organ recital. The peace and tranquility of the place can not be matched. We pray that it is rebuild soon!
I have mixed feelings about this historic Cathedral. Sadness that the towers have been lost due to fire but it still stands proud and you can still see the beautiful windows and original structure of Notre Dame. I suppose it is a miracle that there was not more damage. I feel it is an integral monument in Paris to visit. I pray that Notre Dame will be around for all future generations to enjoy.
I was sad to see Notre-Dame after the fire. I used to go to Notre Dame for mass and devotions. Not being able to do so was quite a letdown for me. Let's hope that I will be able to do so again in my lifetime!
All we can say about this is that we are so glad we saw it before it burned. The 13 year old was excited more after the fact knowing that he saw it before they had to rebuild again. Beautiful place.
At the moment it is not possible to get as close to this important icon of both Paris and Christianity but it is still-and perhaps even more do - a pilgrimage that must be undertaken if one finds one’s self in the city.
The hotel is literally located in a strategic position, very close to the metro stations Vavin (purple line 4 to Notre Dame), Edgar Quinet (light green line 6 to Eiffel Tower) and to the Gaite station (light blue line 13 to Champs-Elysees, Place de la Concorde). If you move by metro, this is one of the best locations to stay in Paris. In addition it is just a ten minute walk to the Luxembourg gardens. We stayed in the Deluxe room, our recommendation is to opt for the Deluxe room, is more spacious.
Hotel in great location if you can tolerate noise. Just across the Seine from the rebuilding Notre Dame Cathedral. The room was small but neat and had just been refurbished. The maid was wonderful, made sure I had enough towels. The front desk accommodated my only speaking English (Everyone at the front desk spoke fluent English). I would go back maybe ask for the back rooms (Not sure what the view is like-mine was open to the street)
We were pleasantly surprised at the size of the room, which was large compared to many hotels in France. The room was lovely and we had a wonderful view of Notre Dame. In addition, the staff was exceptionally friendly, helpful and outgoing. Dino and Jess, in particular. They went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. We will definitely be back!
Best location-convenient to everything (cafes, metro, bus lines), walking to Notre Dame and other famous sites, felt safe. The hotel is absolutely charming, with lovely decor, modern showers, air conditioning, elevator, and windows and/or balcony doors with great views. Last but not least, all of the employees were very nice.
The look and feel of the hotel was excellent. I loved the bathroom's design and the large windows in the room. The location was perfect with an easy walk to the Pantheon, Notre Dame, and transportation to other locations throughout the city. The Latin Quarter is a very nice place to be for bakeries and food too.
The rooms and lobby area are beautiful and luxurious. The location cannot be beat -- walking distance to the river, Notre Dame, Eiffel Tower, and the Musee d'Orsay. Don't miss the spa/pool in the basement of the hotel, which you have to reserve.
The hotel staff were very helpful. The location was great- near Luxembourg Gardens and not far from Notre Dame. Mostly what I appreciate was that the hotel worked with us through COVID and honored our almost 2 year old reservation. Exceptional
This hotel is fantastic, It s small but it is Paris ... The breakfast is great, the location is fantastic, close to Le Louvre, Close to Notre Dame, ... And the crew there is here for you!
Excellent location, walking distance to Notre Dame and Louvre. Besides, there are two metro lines close to the hotel to reach the other main attractions of Paris.
Superv location. Walking distance to Notre Dame and center of Paris. Very modetn hotel. Clean. Nice btrakfast.
Because they are so rich with european history and how some of those building like the notre dame are still standing today is incredible
Keep in mind this is Paris, crowds are a necessary evil. However, some spots are worse than others. We found that the most crowded places were the Notre Dame church and the Champs-Elysees (specially on the blocks nearest the Arc). For us, the jewel of the city is without doubt the Eiffel Tower, and luckily its gardens are so wide that the crowds end up spreading enough so that everyone has enough space, even for picnics (going up the tower is an entirely different matter, though!). Also, strolling the streets and parks can be less crowded, you just have to avoid the main streets near the main landmarks. Try the Luxembourg Garden or the Saint-Germain-des-Pres neighborhood.
Notre Dame is second to none, queues for the tower was very long, as was, the queue for confessions. Recommend going in the early morning and buying tickets for the tower in advance.
Go to the Islands: there you can walk along the river, eat in nice cafes, visit Notre Dame de Paris, look at marvelous orchids in La Maison de l'Orchidée. You will also find small streets and even parks there.
Breathtaking in parts, particularly Notre Dame with the bells ringing
such Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame St Michel, Scare Coeurm, Arc de Triump and so on
